Doom 3: Scary? - Page 3

i finished it in Nightmare. it was hard because you're health was in constant decrease to 25% but after you got used to saving it frequently it wasn't too bad. the last boss wasn't as hard as i thought he'd be, there were some much harder parts, even the first boss (that guy with the light above him and the light holders) was harder. that sould cube PWNS

Well hearing how much you guys like this game, i think im gonna give it a second look! Maybe ill play it and see what its like from the players point of view rather than just watching someone else play! (if that makes any sense) lol (i did warn you)

someone mentioned earlier that the suffering was scarier and i agree. i think that because the graphics are awesome (and they are really outstanding) it doesn't mean that the scariness is upgraded in any way. tresspasser, resi 2, suffering, all got crappyish graphics (compared to doom 3 at least) but still have the element of surprise because the environments differ slightly. it's about change and unexpectability. doom 3 (although i hate to admit) is very predictable.

The game defiently made me jump and is pretty scary in some places, especially with my 5.1 surround sound on
