Default Ubisoft's obscure

More survival horror for the xbox, this time by Ubisoft. Co-op or ai controlled partner sounds interesting. Looks like Splinter Cell in a demon possessed high school.

I agree, that game actually sounds(and looks) kind of cool and original. I'll have to keep an eye out for it.

Yessss! Finally, an interesting sounding game for Xbox! Because now that I'm living with my sister I finally have unlimited access to her family console. But so far there have been practically no games for it that I'm interested in. I'm only mildly interested in Manhunt, but I want more beef in the story department, and Obscure seems to offer some.

Quote:
The game can be played co-op with a second player (or single player helped by an AI controlled team-mate).
And this sounds delicious. Nothing like a splendid Saturday night co-oping a fun scary game with my niece or her dad. Mmph!

If this title receives relatively good reviews I am getting it.

I heard the plot is slighty based on a movie called "The Faculty"...
I love the co-op idea...
The magzine ads for my country for this game say "Today's class: Dissection"

Now THAT'S interesting.

The Faculty was actually a decently entertaining movie, despite how horrible it looked in previews. It definitely had one of the most appropriate uses of a song (in this case, "Another Brick in the Wall," which is even better) that I've ever seen in a movie. Plus it had Frodo Baggins and the T-1000 in it, so that was another point in its favor.

But getting back to my point, the plot of the movie was basically a video-game plot anyway, so it should make an interesting game.

Terminator 2, the liquid robot thing played by Robert Patrick

How is this game supposed to be like Splinter Cell?

Cooperative survival horror sounds pretty cool though.

Who also, interestingly enough, did the voice of Boston Lowe in The Dig.

Weirdly, Robert Patrick wasn't the original choice for the voice of Boston Low. At an early point in production on Sean Clark's version of The Dig, much of the dialogue was different, and the company hired other voice actors to read it. Low's original actor had a Southern USA accent.

But then most of the game's text was entirely rewritten, and the interface was changed, so LucasArts had to record new voices. They took the opportunity to get somewhat more qualified actors in the process. However, the old ones can still be heard in the Dig demo.

I haven't played the Dig demo, but Robert Patrick rocked, he was great as Boston Lowe.

Screw The Dig. It doesn't have co-op. I can't wait for Obscure.

This survival horror seems interesting thanks to something called originalty. Hope the game doesn't become to cliche with the teent-bopper thing going on.
