More like looks like how it should look.

Why do people complain about something that really makes no sense. The interface is made to work and play how it should. Not like a US Space Shuttle Simulator. The interface is made to be immersion, interactive, and seamless. Not an RTS.

The only time such an argument should be used is when the gameplay is affected.

Don't mind Owskie. He's just sore 'cause he's not so much into consoles and tend to look down on them so he's always gonna complain.

Anyway, I absolutely look forward to a CONSOLE VERSION of this game for myself and other console gamers who want a good, deep action RPG experience.

Heh, I've bought them both a couple of times and never played them either. I just bought them again during their birthday sale on Steam.

Play them. I guarantee they're both grande.

(don't be put off by the first mission of DX1, though)

I have a major beef with games being watered down due to their development on consoles as opposed to being developed on PC. They have a different audience in mind and develop their games according. Not that they aren't great games all their own, they have IMO without exception been watered down versions of what they could have been.

Deus Ex 2 was a great example of this. The sequel to one of the greatest PC games of all time. While not an awful game.. suffered in level design and overall content and gameplay to appease the trigger happy ADD generation (ie the mindless masses) In my eyes this has been true for every console game that could have been developed on PC, or should have been. With console gamers as a main focus, we get further and further from the depth that could be attainable in exchange for minimized experiences suited for the short playing bursts that happen on consoles.

Anyways, Intrepid is right.. im a bitter old man.

I partly agree with what you're saying (though I personally enjoyed DX 2); but I think that console gaming has matured since that game was released; there's more than enough evidence to show that sophisticated games can be on PC as well as console (Fallout 3, Mass Effect).

Also, this gives optimism: http://www.gamesradar.com/pc/deus-ex...27104520164080.

I agree, things are definatley better than they were. I still think we have a ways to go though. With the style of gaming we are doing with consoles (short bursts) the game design that is built around this is evident.

I'm not arguing that games cant be great on both platforms, but I do feel that we do get the short end of things when it comes to developing for consoles. Then again, I'm not a console gamer.

edit : just looked at that link, that is indeed promising.

This is going to be good.

If there's a part that even comes close to Hong Kong in DX1, then it's going to be worth the wait.

so far the level design looks pretty uninspiring and not very imaginative, but everything else looks pretty amazing. I may end up eating my words.

...glad you can tell from a trailer. Unless you're talking about artistic direction and not gameplay.........but I hella disagree with you.

I definitely want to play the first and second (I don't care what you say, it's brilliant) again before I finally play this -- I must bully my sister until she sends me my old copy of DX1 from her flat.

I still have my copy, including the cool box it came in.

Don't think I'll attempt to install it to play, though.

The leaked " 20 minutes of Deus Ex: Human Revolution gameplay" have vanished, it seems. Couldn't find a working mirror. It would've been interesting, all official trailers are heavily laden with cutscenes. (Some impressions here)

This site offers maybe the most comprehensive collection of screenshots and concept art, mostly at high resolutions.

Sigh. The production values for this thing are definitely too high to be anything revolutional (in the anarchic spirit of the original), but I expect better dialoge than DX2, better combat and a look close in quality to Dead Space. I hope they resist the temptation to break gameplay by showing off with too many cutscenes, ala Tomb Raider.

Meanwhile... time for two little trailers for the Nameless Mod.

WHAT! They've turned Tracer Tong into an African-Chinese? (You Don't Fool Me with your Tom/Tong T. Hong disguise, ha!)

Looks pretty cool, actually!
Should be an interesting game. Thanks for the links, MoP.
