Default What will you play on Christmas Day?

Hello, folks - and Merry Christmas (I like to say this the old fashioned way rather than Happy Holidays because I care deeply about Christmas - it's my favorite time of the year, just like my birthday.) I've been lurking at GB and saw a thread about what games will you be playing on Xmas Day - so I thought maybe we should start one here.

You go first!

Probably some KOTOR, and maybe some Wallace and Gromit since I just bought it.

Ehm, nothing? I guess I'm one of those "lucky" people with family obligations.

Far Cry 2, Overlord: Raising Hell and I'm thinking of doing episode 3 of Telltale's Wallace and Gromit series.

I will be playing "preparing the food" and later "relaxing in the sofa with a box of chocolate".

I'm going to be at the in-laws without a computer for a few days

However, I'm off work all next week so should be able to check in with some serious gaming then!

I'll be with my family and besides, by then my pc is likely aready packed, so I will not play anything until at least 28 december...
Then, depending on whether the playthrough is already up and running I'll play Gabriel Knight 1, or if it is not yet up and running I'll play The Shivah.

I was hoping to take a break from computer games on Christmas day. Big lunch, then relax on the sofa infront of the t.v, but there is only the same old rubbish on. So maybe i will complete Culpa Innata after lunch instead, but maybe the X-mass mood will take me, and i will be watching "the great escape" or something

A cooking game for the Wii, perhaps? All kinds of uses for the mote: whisking, slicing/dicing, flipping pancakes.

EDIT: omg, I thought I was joking, but I looked it up and they actually HAVE cooking games for the Wii

I've already played CQ1 quite a few times at Christmas (Is that really Doug doing the narration??? ), so now I usually just play CQ2 and CQ3! I hope to finish A Vampyre Story by this weekend too. The university where I work is closed all next week, so there'll be plenty of time to start a few new games too!

I probably won’t be playing a game this Christmas BUT I do have VERY fond memories of getting The Longest Journey for Christmas when it came out. The family gathered around the game as we watched the wonderful, beautiful images and challenges unfold before our eyes. Magical moments!

Still Life One also comes to mind. Although a gruesome concept, the game was beautiful in many ways and I loved Victoria’s lovely home with the awesome Christmas lights and wintry feel.

Yor'e kidding!! What can you cook? I have just peeled the potatoes, and put the pork roast in the oven, so it will take care of itself for 1.5 hours. Not a very exiting game if they have a "Danish x-mas cooking" version.

Confused about dates? Here in Scaninavia we celebrate the 24th.

If I have any time, I'll be playing New Super Mario Bros Wii (Girlfriend's Christmas present). I think she might be getting me Assassin's Creed 2 as well, but I probably won't have time to start it before the 26th. I also have to play the go to work game, but luckily only for two hours (I'm the ONLY manager who knows how to open the store who can do it, they tell me).

Today, I have all day and a bit of the evening to finish Silent Hill 3. Bring on the scares!

Arkham Asylum.... and work.

Assassins Creed 2 would be a great Christmas day game....those who beat the game would understand what i'm talking about. Damn I loved that game so much. The story was absolutely amazing.

Anyways, Happy holidays everyone.

I wonder if they also have dishwashing games after you prepare the food - the washing dishes by hand kind? And eating the food games? Serving the food games? Oh, I guess I'm being silly.

anyway, i think I'll be playing one of the Tex Murphy games I d/l if they can be played in a netbook under XP.

The games in my signature: Assassin's Creed II and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

I've just downloaded the demo for Machinarium to see what it's like and if it'll appeal to me. If it does then I'll purchase it today.
