F.E.A.R. Multiplayer -- Completely free on Thursday

I'm not sure if this has been posted here or not (search turned up nothing)..

Either way, just wanted to let you guys know that Sierra is releasing FEAR's multiplayer portion free for everyone as of Thursday, Aug 17th, 2006.

As far as I know, you don't even need to own the retail singleplayer version. You'll just have to download the game, install it, and start playing. Free is good. And FEAR is freakin' incredible.

I think the reason they're doing this is to attract attention to F.E.A.R. 2 when it comes out. Get people to love the first, and you'll have a huge fan base for the upcoming sequel. Good logic and it benefits everyone.
