Default Nintendo Revolution named. Prepare to cry.

The final name for the Revolution is:

Argh. Why would they do that? It's pronounced "Wee" by the way.

http://revolution.nintendo.com if you think I'm joking.

WTF? I can't even understand the point of renaming it at all now that everyone calls it the Revolution .

It's even worse than I dreamed!!!! 0_o
How can they screw it up that badly!!!
Like the name of a Fisher Price Toy, suggests it's harmless and suitable for preschoolers....

Mind you, Wii™ can now start a really annoying internet fad where Wii™ all write the word "Wii™" as Wii™ instead!111one!eleven!!!

That's the spirit! Wii™ can easily Wii™n everyone off using the "e" in Wii™!

And I was so looking forward to the Revolution, with images of Ernesto Guevara popping up. What graphic image will they use for Wii? Wait, skip that.

It's horrible.

Screw that, I'm pronouncing it "why", because that's certainly what I'll be thinking every time it comes up.

Is there any chance that the site was hacked and that's what some joker put up there?

I know with the controller they were trying to inch away from the sane crowd but now they've gone too far away and have entered the realms of retarded stupidity calling their console Wii.
WII!
FOR GODS SAKE, ITS BLOODY CRAP!!

That's fantastic. Even if the name was Steaming Pile.. Wii would still buy it anyway.
Because it's really not about you or me, its about Wii.

I actually like it, but I guess I'm the only one.

Introducing … Wii.
As in “we.”

While the code-name “Revolution” expressed our direction, Wii represents the answer.

Wii will break down that wall that separates video game players from everybody else.

Wii will put people more in touch with their games … and each other. But you’re probably asking: What does the name mean?

Wii sounds like “we,” which emphasizes this console is for everyone.

Wii can easily be remembered by people around the world, no matter what language they speak. No confusion. No need to abbreviate. Just Wii.

Wii has a distinctive “ii” spelling that symbolizes both the unique controllers and the image of people gathering to play.

And Wii, as a name and a console, brings something revolutionary to the world of video games that sets it apart from the crowd.

So that’s Wii. But now Nintendo needs you.

Because, it’s really not about you or me.

It’s about Wii.

And together, Wii will change everything.
It sure beats Xbox 360.

Why not just REV? I know it sounds stupid, but if they have to have it only three letters long, they might as well just downsize their project title....

*sigh*

Well, they never could've called it anything satisfactory, so they might as well do something no-one expected.

EDIT: Strangely, after seeing the little video of the little i's hopping around playign videogames, I suddenly liked the name..

Wii™. Now with WiiFi™, GameWhiil™ and Wii™lly good games.

They better make it a really good console to make up for the name.
