Default Earthworm Jim returns?

http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/702/702063p1.html

Quote:
April 17, 2006 - Atari is selling its studios. Dave Perry has quit Shiny Entertainment. Earthworm Jim is making a comeback. The past few months have provided a curious turn for Atari, the French publisher formerly known as Infogrames, that once landed the Matrix license back in 2000.

Behind the scene of financial crisis and disarray, however, something is brewing. The original Earthworm Jim team, the one that created the first blockbuster title the 16-bit systems, has regrouped. It's working to unearth Jim for the next generation.

About a year ago, the original team started meeting, IGN learned from a source close to the group who asked to remain anonymous. Their goal was to renew the chemistry they enjoyed while creating Earthworm Jim and to re-create the game with all of the whimsical humor and creativity that went into the original.

Yeah, I read the rights were sold, but didn't know there was a game in development. I love Earthworm jim, classic.

I don't know. I just can't see it working for the new consoles. The original Earthworm Jim was really the pinnacle of Earthworm Jim because it was 2D and cartoony.

Earthworm Jim 2 lost a bit to me....not really worth playing. The 3D one was interesting and a little fun, but not my cup of tea really. Unless they actually manage to make something as fun and interesting as the first one, I doubt I will get it.

That would be cool.

You know people can reinvent a series, it was done with Tomb Raider, Prince of Persia, and they all turned out to be great/good games.

Has anyone read Doug TenNapel's blog? http://www.tennapel.com/ It's fairly off-putting, and makes me not want to play any of his future games.

Hmm. This is one of those examples of why not everyone should feel the need to have a blog .

I loved the 2d ones, but hated the 3D game....

I have a bad feeling about the new game...
