Default Desperate Housewives - the game (Warning - Large Images)

http://pc.gamespy.com/pc/desperate-h.../698367p1.html

I'm not quite sure how much of an adventure game it counts, but I could see it having some elements. I'm not interested in the game, but a new type of gamer might be. If it's a success, could it create a renewed interest in adventure games? Probably too early to start asking a question like that, but I don't have anything else to say about the game.

Sounds like a constrained "The Sims" with a plot to uncover. I hope it works and brings a new audience to computer gaming...

Why does everything have to bring a "renewed interest in adventure games"?

Yeah I know I'm quick to judge, but this game will probably suck. Most games based on TV or movies do. It sells because of the license.

It doesn't look at all adventure-y to me. They themselves call it a "life simulation", and I suppose "uncovering the plot" will probably be implemented similarly to finding your family in Pirates!.

I can't wait to buy this game, especially once the inevitable Eva Longoria nude mod comes out for it.

I really want this game to be good, just because I love the tv show so much.
I have my fears that it may turn out to be one of those things that sounds good on paper, but doesn't work as well in practice.
I'll probably end up buying it anyway, one can never have too much Desperate Housewives!

I hope you can hire Jesse Metcalfe to to your gardening, or invite Ryan Carnes round for a sleepover, hehe

Do you really have to post every screenshot for every new game?
Links to where to find them would suffice.

Thats Carlos on most of the screenshots, right? And the other one is Bree?

I really don't see the point of this sims-like game or whatever it is...

This game could be fantastic soapy fun.

"The housewife discovers she had a car accident 20 years ago and suffered amnesia, so she needs to learn about her past. " Ha ha!

But dialup users do not. You make browsing these forums hard work for them. (and don't get me started on leeching other sites' bandwidth...)

The shots do seem to resemble Wysteria Lane quite nicely though.

And it annoys me to have a page that keeps scrolling around as large images load in .

True. Mind you, I'd still wager a reasonable amount of money on this game ending up a bad'un, though I'd love to be proved wrong .

Why is it when one major company has a successful formula for a game, every other company wants to reuse the same formula to make their own franchise, and usually they fail miserably. This is a sorry excuse by take 2 to try to make a Sims-like franchise, just like every other company is trying to make their own Grand Theft Auto.
