Default XBox + Surround Sound query

Has anyone here got their XBox connected up to a Surround Sound system? If so then maybe you could clear something up for me.

I know that you need an optical cable, but I'm not sure if I would need to buy any other adapter thingies. Would this do me or would I need something else as well.

Advice would be much appreciated.

All 360 outputs have an optical out, you just need to buy the cable. You'll also find 360's have a particular AV output and can only buy cables made for it.

I have the Advanced AV pack from microsoft that provides the TOSlink output (and an S-video out):

It's well worth it for the surround sound

Where would be the best place to get the extra cable?
