Exclusive games are the only reason to own any piece of gaming hardware over another... That's precisly the problem with XBOX 360. I see no exclusive games thus far that I really want to play. Their biggest and best launch title is a game I beat on PC a month ago....

Really? How are they different from the ones I've seen stacked on pallets at my local Sam's Club, awaiting their release date to be put out for sale?

You work at Sams Club? I thought you were a mechanic? Anyway, those that you've stacked will sell out, and there will be people who didn't get one.

Those will be sold out within an hour. And there may not be any more put out before Christmas. There is a huge demand for these and the preorders have been very heavy.

You wanna know the irony? It's that Miss Hilton probably saw the huge buzz to have a 360 so she feels that she has to have one, too.

I thought this thread was about the benefits of ****ing rich people, not a thread about being annoyed at them.

I'm sure ****ing a rich person is actually quite a good position to be in.

I read about this, it's called product seeding. Where companies give free products to "style leaders" and bank on the non-stop media coverage these celebs get to market their products. It's also behind those goody bags stars get at the oscars -- one article said that some of the bags that these guys get for free had goods worth over 100,000 dollars. Such a hard life, the life of a celebrity.

They use famous people for advertizing? I NEVER COULD HAVE GUESSED THEY COULD'VE DONE SOMETHING SO NEFARIOUS AND EVIL.

It's not that it's evil as much as it is fake. From when where games and game consoles cool? And you really believe that Paris Hilton is actually going to play the 360?

I wonder if people should get this into perspective. Even if they gave away a couple of hundred consoles, the time taken to produce them was probably fairly small. And should we also complain that reviewers may have received advance consoles? Because, you know, Gamespot probably has some money...

No. She should donate it to charity: me.

Call me weird but the first thing I noticed is that Paris is actually wearing something pretty - she doesn't look skanky.

Hey, you're right. She's almost respectable in that photo. I think that's the real scandal here.

It's not as good as you'd think. They tend to see you as just another possession.

Come to Santa Cruz... Supposedly the Watsonville Target hasn't had more than one or two preorders, and the same goes for most other stores like Best Buy, etc. There was a news story about it locally.

I'm still not getting one til a) the price comes down and b) ithas games I want.

So you're saying you wouldn't wear a "Property of Mr Navarro" tattoo?

Touche, simpsie!!! o/\o

And I think that if I were rich and famous and they gave me a free Xbox 360 I'd autograph it and sell it to the highest bidder and I'd take that money and give it to charity. Then I'd buy a 360 with my own money. Yay, one more brownie for me!!

While I could go on at great length and in lurid, graphic detail about the things I would do to, with, and for Mr. Navarro, getting a tattoo that proclaims I am his "property" is not one of those things. I am no possession to be marked or branded, and I only belong to those to whom I choose to give myself.
