Oblivion has been delayed to second quarter of 2006 says Take2's financial update.

This was reported at Shack, Blue's and 1UP.
And here's the financial update at biz.Yahoo

Shit.

Well, guess that means I'll wait a bit longer to get the 360, then. I can wait, I got other priorities in my life. (Oblivion was to be my launch game into the next gen system)

It says only the 360 version was delayed. Any news on the PC version? Is it still on for november? The Elder Scrolls may be greatly optimised for the Xbox, but it will always remain a PC-title first.

Better this than a rushed, buggy release. I'm happy to wait for the pay-off.

Same here. Morrowind was buggy to hell on release.

Too bad, but hardly surprising. Oh well, that just means I can wait before getting a new video card.

I'm very happy about this.

A game that's delayed for, say, 6 months is annoying for 6 months. A buggy, unfinished game is annoying forever.

From what I've heard: Yes. There's definitely a main story line you can follow, like in Morrowind. Though I did prefer to wander through snowy woods for days and days and days and days. What can I say, I'm a sucker for snowy woods.

After days after days of wandering around and of trying to rise in the Dark Brotherhood's (and other guild's) ranks, I finally decided to try the main story line. Well, 5 endless dungeons later, without real directions, I kinda lost the sense of purpose and resumed my wandering.

I liked the main storyline, but hated the complex dungeons and that useless map. I finished it, but lost my patience near the end so I used a walkthrough for the last couple of dungeons. And just when I exited the last dungeon, I found out I'd caught vampirism.

Oh, yeah, the dungeons. Lucky that the plot-related dungeons were manually designed, so you could use a walkthrough at all! Oh man, you did actually catch vampirism? I'm jealous! Somehow all those vampire things in the game didn't to anything to me (other than killing me, of course). And I was dying (pun intented) to be a vampire/lycanthrope!

Somethings bothering me about Oblivion. They are developing the game for the Xbox 360 right? Well how is the game gonna run on the Xboxs with no Hard drive? Will this impact the way it runs on the PC?
