Upcoming forum downtime.

Just letting everyone know that sometime in the next couple of days there may be a couple of hours of forum downtime. I'm planning to update to vBulletin 3.5, which means taking everything down for a couple of hours. I'll be more specific when I pick a day.

Now, if only I had some free time in the evenings to actually do the upgrade...

For the curious, here are the major changes in 3.5:

Most of it is moderation or programming related, but one upgrade of note is that the "read"/"not read" status of threads is now kept in sql, instead of in a cookie, so it can track these things in a non-sucky fashion that will actually work.

Yay, finally!

That's an important change. It sometimes drives me crazy that once I've opened the forum page, I have an X amount of time to read the latest replies and posts.
