Staff announcements
A couple big announcements for you this week.
First, we're extremely excited to have the one and only Laura MacDonald joining Adventure Gamers as Senior Editor. Laura brings with her a lot of editorial experience from her tenure with GameBoomers and a frighteningly extensive knowledge of the adventure industry and the genre's history. Having her on board is a wonderful opportunity for the site and I couldn't be happier that she's with us! Look for Laura's first contribution to our site within the week. Also, I want to recognize that three of our writers have been going above and beyond to be involved in the direction of the site since joining us earlier this year, and I feel the level of responsibility they've willingly taken on should be reflected in their title (and we all know I'm pretty much a whore for titles). So, we have promoted Jack Allin to Assistant Editor and Kirk Latimer and Emily Morganti to Senior Writer. Please congratulate them. As a special bonus for this promotion, I have doubled their pay. We need, like, a confetti smiley or something, but in the meantime this will do:

Evan, you made me cry.
I'd do anything...I mean anything...just to see you call yourself a whore again. Love it! Congrats, Jack. Your efforts and continued presence at the site is more than admirable. Emily, you too are most valuable, and I am beyond proud to share such a title with you. Without a doubt, Adventure Gamers is not just a great site; it's a place many people, including me, can safely call "home". Thanks much! Kirk |

I, too, quite enjoyed the whore comment. Though I was hoping for a title along the lines of Queen Bee, I guess this will do.
I am honored to be listed alongside such... er... honorable people. emily |
