Default Stinger's Law & Order #3 Preview.

Hi Evan,
We haven't been in direct contact for quite a while ... sounds as though you're doing fine !
Remember our first 'contact' several years ago concerning walkthrus and a scoring bug in Blue Force? I think you were about 17½ at the time heehee!
I'm now REALLY long in the tooth ... just a few months short of 80 yo.

I was on the beta-test team of L&O#3 (you may have been also ... I only happen to know one other person who was !) and am just finishing a nearly 60 page walkthru on that game. I only ever actually POST when the game is officially released ... in this case, I'm told during the first week of October.

I would like to add a single note to your excellent Preview. You may have frightened some folk off from buying the game ... absolutely inadvertently I'm certain !

Some people just cannot possibly solve a music-puzzle ... and some who won't buy a game that includes one for that same reason. There are many people who have various hearing impediments, and some who are completely tone deaf.
I just want to add (and hope you don't mind) that although it's VERY nice to solve that puzzle musically ... Legacy Interactive have devised a method so that even a person who is totally stone-deaf can solve it without too much hassle !!
I hope that's not giving away too much of a spoiler.

All the very best ......... Len Green.

Thanks for the clarification Len - I know a lot of people feel strongly about this type of puzzle.

I'm going to move this thread into Site Feedback since it's directly related to Evan's article.

It's actually worth noting that I solved the music puzzle, as Len alluded to, before ever even hearing the audio component of it using the "backdoor" method. So yes, don't let an audio puzzle scare you away if you're unable to deal with that sort of thing.

Hi,
Me the opposite.
I'm one of those people who actually LIKES musical puzzles !!
I didn't pay proper attention to the "backdoor" method until later when I came to write the walkthrough !

And for that very reason, I still say LOOM is the hardest game I ever played.
