What's Samorost Day?
I'd just noticed that it's samorost day today. Is it some in-joke of AG?

It's the sound that cars make in german children's books. "Tut! Tuuut!" -

It's supposed to be the disapproving sound you make when you sort of click your tongue against the back of your front teeth. It's usually accompanied by a shake of the head.

It is an ancient pagan animist tradition that dates back to cavemen.
Every month, when the stars were in a certain position, they discussed Samorost. (Of course it must be a legend because cavemen never existed, God just had some fun setting a few skulls at several Wisely Chosen places and making up dinosaur bones with plaster to tease humanity)

Two questions. Can I meet up with the team that produced 5 magical amulets (a game I have a distant association with) there? What with them being Czech and all. Do they do sausages?

Samarost Day is a significant day here at AG. No other adv gaming forum HAS a Samarost Day, you know! It is of such great importance that a yearly celebration is just not enough - we had to do it monthly here.
Why? You say? Well, um... you see...it's like this... Once upon a time there was this neat little browser game made by Amanita, that everyone liked. And I do mean everyone! Newbies came in here all the time asking has anyone here played this great game - not just occasionally, but so often that the regulars would groan. Sometimes we would play dumb, and sometimes we would openly attack the newbies, saying of course we knew about it. So some forum regular, can't remember who, unfortunately, got the brilliant idea to inaugurate Samarost Day. Now, when still another newbie comes in proclaiming this great little game they've just discovered, we can point to our calendar saying, not only do we KNOW about Samarost, we celebrate it monthly on the 18th. And they all lived happily ever after. Lynsie
