Stands for Fellow Goat Daughter....but uh....anyway...that was pretty awesome! Short, but awesome. They should make a full length game out of it. I'd like to see AG.com do a review of that flash game for April Fools day or something.

Well, being a Capricorn, I suppose I am a goat daughter! And that would be a funny April Fool's Day joke. I guess they are working on another one. there are four others by them that I know of - one was a basketball thingy (sorry I lost all my links when I got the new PC two weeks ago), one was called by the name of the group - Polyphonic Spree, and another was in a root cellar, where you jiggled the pots of veggies and herbs and clouds came up, and maybe one other, unless I'm mixing them up. The Amanita site should be able to direct you to them, though.

Why? You say? Well, um... you see...it's like this...

Once upon a time there was this neat little browser game made by Amanita, that everyone liked. And I do mean everyone! Newbies came in here all the time asking has anyone here played this great game - not just occasionally, but so often that the regulars would groan. Sometimes we would play dumb, and sometimes we would openly attack the newbies, saying of course we knew about it. So some forum regular, can't remember who, unfortunately, got the brilliant idea to inaugurate Samarost Day. Now, when still another newbie comes in proclaiming this great little game they've just discovered, we can point to our calendar saying, not only do we KNOW about Samarost, we celebrate it monthly on the 18th. And they all lived happily ever after.

Lynsie

Thanks for the explanation. And I was thinking earlier that it was the day when people all around AG mourn for the late Sam & Max II.

I missed Samorost Day! NOOO!!!!

It only comes around 12 times a year . If only it were the good old days, when Samorost Day was EVERY day.

No shit?! In Serbia too! But only when you honk the horn.

But, what else is to be expected from German engeneering, than damn noisy cars. After all they did give us the Trabant...

The Trabbie is no car - It's a cardboard box with wheels on it.

Pigs in Serbia think the Trabbie is quite a delicacy. They always neglect to eat the wheels though. I guess they don't know anything about the "eat what you're served" rule of bonton.

Another thing you should know about Samorost is that any thread started about it goes woefully off topic fairly quickly.

Well, what can you say about a game that takes 3 mins to play? I did love it though, I wish they would make a longer version.
