Holy... crap. Has anyone else heard this?
It is fantastic. It was performed at the Ether Festival in around March 05 (i think)

Nope, but I'm interested. Very interested.

Sound like any of their other stuff?

No, I wasn't at all impressed. Besides, it was probably just an experimental test, not something that would become a Radiohead song.

It is a song and been played at least twice. It's recorded and they're gearing up for the next album release early next year. There's another new song called House of Cards which has been played a couple times recently, and Thom even pulled Big Ideas and Reckoner out of his ass at a recent charity gig. The other new premiere was of a really really ancient song called Last Flowers(til the Hospital). NME called Glass Flowers, so it's either got a name change or they were full of it. There's a precendent for that, though. The recent b-side called Gagging Order is the ancient song Move Along.

Anyway, Yorke said the recording of this album reminds him of the Kid A/Amnesiac sessions. Since, Kid A is one of the greatest albums of all time, I can't wait to hear it. Arpeggi certainly fits that mold, but those other tracks are a mixture of everything else. Hail to the Thief was an amalgam of their various sounds, so I wonder if this will be, as well, or more cohesive?

Although, they said that it was like the Kid A, Amnesiac sessions because of the massive change. I think the new album will have more of Jonny Greenwood's classical stuff.

You can purchase/download two new Radiohead songs performed by Thom Yorke (piano) on iTunes (UK version I believe). They are "Videotape" and "Down is the New Up," and they are from his performances on the premiere episode of the UK's " From the Basement." The White Stripes, Kieran Hebden, and Steve Reid are the other guests. Click the link for video samples.

Judging by Thom Yorkes "Eraser", Johnny Greenwood is definetly the most talented member of Radiohead. Yes Thoms got a great voice but Johnnys got the verve.

Doesn't Thom write pretty much all of it?

i haven't heard "arpeggi"

i've heard "house of cards." i thought that was pretty good. it sounds like, from the few pieces i have heard around the internet, that they're going back to a more organic and less programmed sound. though, i like both, i tend to fall into the camp that thinks their experimentation is more interesting than their flat-out "straightforward" songs.

i do like both "old" [pre-ok computer] and "new" [post-ok computer] radiohead, but i lean towards "new" more.

so, i am kind of hoping for some kind of integration of the two. much like "hail to the thief," [which didn't dissapoint at all, though i think i'm one of the few people who actually /liked/ it] i am greatly looking forward to this new album, too.
