My Christmas List.
Hey guys, it's Zack.
It is the first day of December, and this year has really flown by in my opinion. I have been writing my Christmas List since Monday, and I feel it is finished. I'm not going to ask for any books or music, because I feel I have enough of those. But, I am definitely going to ask for games and movies. I think you will all be excited to know that I have decided to ask for the X-Box 360 for Christmas, and this is because my General Manager at the Breckenridge 12 Theater, Eli Burrell has encouraged me to do it. He owns one at his house too. However, since most of the games cost close to $60.00 I am just going to ask for two games, and then save up my money for some of the games coming out next year. Here are the games and Movies I have Chosen for my Christmas List: Video Games 1. The X-Box 360 System 2. Gears of War (X-Box 360) 3. Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Double Agent (X-Box 360) Movies: 1. Futurama Vol. 3 2. Firefly (The Complete Series) (I own the movie "Serenity") 3. The Little Mermaid (The New 2-Disc DVD Edition) 4. Superman Returns (2-Disc Special Edition) 5. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest (Two-Disc Collector’s Edition) 6. Batman Begins (2-Disc Deluxe Edition) 7. X-Men: The Last Stand The main reason I've started this thread, is because I wanted to show everyone what I've wrote on my Christmas List. I can't ask for too many presents because my Sister and Brother, and their families are all coming down here to Little Rock to celebrate Christmas with our Mom and Dad, and it's costing them a lot of money. So, I think this will do. Please feel free to comment on my Christmas List, and to also post your Christmas List on this thread too. Last edited by Zack; 12-03-2006 at 07:17 PM. |

I actually wouldn't recommend those movies, but its your christmas list and different taste
Gears of War could be cool. And of course x360 too. Video Games: Heroes Complete Box (1-5) Movies: Twilight Zone (28 DVD, all seasons) Alfred Hitchcock Presents (All episodes) Book: "100 Movies You Must See" (or something like that)

Looks like at least over $550 in stuff at a glance, and that's not asking for too many presents? We must have different ideas of what a lot is, then...
Seriously, though, I never really ask for anything for Christmas. I mostly play games and read, and I usually buy more games and books for myself than I can possibly read or play anyway, so I don't really need any more. Other than that, I'm pretty much just happy with all the stuff I have, frankly. |

I'll be asking for exactly nothing. I'll get it and be happy too. It's a holiday to spoil kids imho, and watching them go off is really all that interests me.
Good luck on the list thing. Lots O' goodies in there. |

Last year, I asked my parents for lots of stuff for Hanukkah, some more expensive, some cheap. I got exactly none of what I asked for, but instead a bunch of useless trash which they wanted to give me anyway. I wouldn't have minded so much if I'd gotten presents from anyone else, but I didn't. Anticipating the same this year, I've asked my parents for only one thing, and I'll be satisfied if they can get it for me. I've asked for the Scholastic color hardcover editions of the Bone books. Chances are they'll mess it up and get me one of the black-and-white ones in paperback.

I'm stepping away from the hysteric gift buying this year. It's repulsive to me and reading that the #1 gift in Sweden is a flat screen TV just make me lose interest in what Christmas has become. I'm just interested in the Christmas food, the candle lights and the company of loved ones.

I don't do lists.
Christmas is just a massive Sale and commercial crap. My nephews house looks like Toy-R-Us on Xmas morning. I just want Xmas dinner with the family and to have fun. Bah Humbug.

I like getting gifts for people - not too outrageous. I think there's a middle ground of getting something for someone that they'll really like but you don't want to go overboard either.
Christmas is commercial but it's always been my favorite holiday because it means spending time with people you care about. Seeing as I live 2000 miles away from my family, that's important to me. |

I'd like a nice, big, buffet-style dinner. With all the trimmings. And a Desert Eagle. And I'd like to have a PS3.
However, reality unfortunately ruins my dreams, so I'll probably buy some military-issue thermal gear. I hate being cold.
