Good point. kolzig does have the look of Siegmund:

Is he a tenor though?

Even though I love opera, I've never been a Wagner fan. I can take Tristan and Isolde but the Ring cycle leaves me cold. But give me Verdi and and Mozart and I will be your bitch.

But then again, he did write that opera that causes wearwolves to transform so he might not be that bad, I guess.

Tell me about it! Even Brunhildbabe herself looks like a man!

On second thought, traditional Chinese opera is perhaps even MORE masculine. I mean, ya gotta be that macho enough to actually play a female character in drag.

That was one of the very, very best cartoons ever. Years ahead of its time - who'd have thought performing opera in drag to be part of pop American culture during the neurotic, homophobic 40s and 50s?

GREAT! A Chuck Jones discussion! What's Opera Doc and Rabbit of Seville are two of the greatest cartoons ever created.

Why do I suddenly feel 27 years old? EVERYONE'S SO DARN YOUNG!

You're very labrador-y in that picture. Uh... that's a compliment. Labradors are cute and do that thing when they rest their heads on your knee and look doeful.

I'll shut up now... *grumbles*

heh, you're not a million miles off. I'm 21. Probably look quite a bit younger there tho.

while I do in fact adore labradors ... any resemblance in that pic is due to being rather drunk and dozy As can be seen from the 1st one hehe

I thought you were 17. I'm guessing the drunk and dozy also explains the pose...

I thought the exact same thing. I looked at the first picture and I envisioned him saying. "Where's my axe? It's time to go kill some Saxons."

Dude, you just called her a dog! Way to go! Smoooooth

And while i'm at it, i'm 21. But like they say, it's not the years, it's the mileage (or kilometers, depending on where you're from and what side of the road you drive on).
