Well, if this one doesn't shatter the stereotype that scientists are boring and unattractive then I dunno what will.

Here's me when I used to have glasses.

For that matter, nerds are cute. And you're no exception, Gil.

Well, when you spend most of your day sitting in front of a computer, there's really no point.

You know, I'd so play that game.

OMG. I would not have dated you back in high school, but I would certainly gaze your way today and dream.

Mmm, you would look so hot in a black 'Le Smoking' tuxedo, with nothing but skin under the jacket, and Christian Leboutin stilhettos.

Glasses alone don't make you a nerd! You need two wearable accesories. Like glasses + headphones, or glasses + a PDA, or steel toed shoes + GPS.

I have glasses, but I'm not a nerd. I'm a geek.

Or mabye I'm a nerd too, I don't know. But I know for sure that I am a geek.

Persons of high intelligence often suffer from myopia, or so statistics say, so I console myself with that info.

That mean that thinking too much can lead to blindness?

I guess I was lucky, then. At the age of 10 I was tested to have an IQ of 174 in a professional test in the psychologial clinic, and I am only a little short sighted.

Or does the degree of myopia not scale in direct relation to the degree of intelligence?

I'm not blind yet. I think way too much for my own good. Not about nerdy things, but about humanistic affairs and philosophical issues and concerns. Thank god for contact lenses and sexy designer frames from Sergio Tacchnini.

My eyesight is fine. I feel so inadequate.

I debated with myself whether I should post of picture of how I looked last sunday after falling from a bike (drunk, in the middle of the night)... and decided not to; there's a limit to the amout of violence an innocent thread can take, right?

Maybe in a few days, when I have some nice scars to show off.

Thanks.

Of course Deirdra, you don't need any makeup as you have great skin and dark eyelashes. If I do wear makeup, I tend to put on a little mascara and occasionally eyeshadow just to brighten the eyes. I hate putting on foundation (even though I need it with my uneven skin) because it looks fake (and I hate a fake look). I caved and bought some of those mineral powders that are supposed to even you out without being fake looking but haven't tried them yet. I'll stop being girly now.

@Ninth - aw, come on. What're a few scabs between friends? You'll get lots of sympathy.

*blushes* I'll keep that in mind the next time I have to go somewhere where I have to dress up.

Agrees! You look fantastic Squinky!
Being the Nordic type as I am I definitely need makeup or else I look tired, old and worn out. Really big sun glasses is also an option.

I'm serious. You will attract attention in Le Smoking, as most women (especially those around your age) tend to play up the girly girly side waaaay too damn much and after a while they all look alike - Barbie or Marcia Brady or Paris or Lindsey, etc. But with your gorgeous skin and modern beauty - i.e. non-cookie cutter - a more sleek mannish look offset by erotic heels will send mixed signals and up the temperature to your advantage. And the best part of it? You get to say 'No' to them and they'll want you more.

That is my wicked style advice for the day. *snap*
