Google, I think. It was 1999/2000 and it was called adventuregamer.com. I registered back then, but forgot my password, username, just about everything. Why did I register again? Because it's the best and most interesting adventure gaming community I've found on the net. By far. The rest of the site isn't bad either.

I agree, and the best thing is - you can disappear from the forums for a few days, or a few weeks, or even a few months and still come back and have crazy conversations with people as if you had never been away! |

I still remember the 'coming soon' placeholder on the front page of Adventure Gamer, but have no idea how I managed to get here. I think via a fansite called 'LucasFans' or something, which was hosted on their server, but I'm not sure. It could've been Mixnmojo as well. It took a long while before I got active on the forum, which is a shame according to some people who say the community was at its best back then. I think I signed up a few months before the domain name issue.

I came via Google and Quandaryland and stayed because the reviews were great.

I think I followed a link from www.samandmax.net (it was one of the very few times I visited that site; I was simply browsing the web looking for info on any Adventures) to the Top 20 Adventure Games of All-Time article. Bad luck! - after clicking it I found the site was down due to hackers' attack. But for some unknown reason (that's why I checked "The devil made me do it") I was getting back over and over every week or so. Some day the site was reborn and it turned out definitely worth the wait.
I can't remember about the forum, though. I think discovering it was a gradual process. Anyway, I know it is not only the first online forum I registered at, but actually the first that really made me want to join. Quote:
