ASCII rock !
http://www.c404.tv/ascii_index.html
I'm familiar with ASCII art ...but this is ridiculous. Someone has done a similar thing with DVD movies and Quake. And then, of course, comes the million-dollar question. Why?

I believe this process could be automatised (sp?). I seem to remember a program from years ago that could convert GIF's to ASCII.

A search for a crazy man!

Yeah, it's more just a matter of plugging in an existing movie file (or the frames) to a program that spits out one of these. Not really much work.
They all seem to be crappy synthesized versions of the songs anyway. Not worth the downloads.

there is a special library for linux called aalib which does exactly that: making ascii art from graphics. It's got a very cool de mo showing his powers called bb, if you got access to linux, try to watch it sometime
[edit] found the dos-demo of this libary here [/edit] Last edited by ysbreker; 11-10-2003 at 12:56 AM. |
