Yo La Tengo - 'Summer Sun'
One of the three CDs I bought today (the other two being Mogwai's 'Earth Division EP' and Sparklehorse / Fennesz's collaboration for Konkurrent's 'In The Fishtank' series).

Turisas - Rasputin
Blame my brother for suggesting going to a concert with among others Turisas in two weeks and me thinking my brother's taste in music is awesome.

Finnish, aren't they?
Anyways, I'm listening to The Scarlet Furies - To Forgive & To Forget (David's Theme from Gray Matter) The more I listen to The Scarlet Furies, the more addicted I become. First time I heard that song in Jane Jensen's blog I thought "well, it's quite alright", now I tend to always listen to them when I'm on the computer (not all the time, but on almost every occasion). |

Yep, they are Finnish. Did the name give it away, or do you know them?

I think I've heard of them on quite a few occasions. I suppose if they've gone abroad they've made enough of an impact here too. Of course the genre of music always makes me pass on any more in-depth looking into so that's why I wasn't sure (I just see headlines or whatever (usually on the internet) and move on)
And of course the name has quite a Finnish sound to it. And since you went listening to them |

Home - Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros
I freakin' love this song. Slowly, but surely risen to the most played song in iTunes for me. (Surrounded by Johnny Cash tracks that couldn't be more different. ) Kind of reminds me of The Polyphonic Spree too. |

Cream - Sunshine of Your Love
Currently learning this on guitar, which is pretty easy. Hopefully it'll sound better on my new one soon!

^ You really can't live without this thread dude.
Well, The Smiths - Some girls are bigger than others, Talking Heads - Psycho Killer and William Shatner's rendition of Sinatra's "It Was a Good Year" Yup, LDS-ridden tunes seem to be my thing now |

Chris Cornell - Thank You
One of the very few Led Zeppelin covers that exceeds the original. I failed at my attempts to get this as the opening song at my wedding, though...

Astor Piazzolla - Oblivion (by Gidon Kremer)
I've heard a few versions, and while this might not be my favorite, it's certainly one of the best. (Even though it's really different, I really like Al DiMeola's version, and ZUM has a great one too) Just trying to keep it going, bro Plus, often there are songs that I like to share... Like the one above! |

Recommending Piazzolla without mentioning Adios Nonino is considered a crime in some parts of the world, you know that right?

Sure, well, I couldn't just start listing all great Piazzolla songs, now, could I? (Oh, and by ZUM I meant the band ZUM, not the piece (not that the sentence would've made any sense))
Yes, Adiós Nonino is a great one (of course, all of them are), also Revirado, Escualo, Libertango, Michelangelo 70... One could just go on and on |

Currently listening to loads of AC/DC. Mainly the following songs as they're easy to learn on guitar: Highway to Hell Live Wire If You Want Blood Love Hungry Man Overdose Problem Child She's Got Balls Shot Down in Flames T.N.T.
