I've been a big fan of Queen ever since I was in my early teens. I saw them in concert in 1977 or 1978 right after the album News of the World had been released. Imagine We Will Rock You and We are the Champions live.

Theme from Return of The Saint by The Saint Orchestra.

Courtesy of a "Top TV Themes" CD I picked up in a charity shop. A lot of classic stuff on here, some of it reasonable music in its own right (though very much of an era)

Buena Vista Social Club - Buena Vista Social Club

You just can't beat the mood of BVSC. Especially this song, I close my eyes and I believe I am in a Cuban cafe in the late evening. The sun has just set, there's a burnt cigarette and an empty rum glass on the table and old men are talking about philosophy and Che Guevara around me... There's Rubén González playing an old piano...

Recently I've been listening a lot to Ottmar Liebert's newest, The Scent of Light. One of his best works, just incredible. And what a cover too

Aah! I'm just surrounded by so much amazing music! But I can't spend all my day just listening to music. I think... Maybe I should?

Armik - Lover's Moon

When I have completed my Ottmar Liebert collection, I will definately move to Armik. Maybe even before. Quite similar style, not far behind in any way.

Yeah, it's definitely not just you! Freddie elected not to have any dental work done to correct it because he was afraid it could damage his voice, and his amazing built-in resonance chamber.

Man, I'm jealous! I wish I was old enough to have seen Queen live (I know the others still tour occasionally but it's not the same).

I just have to content myself with the brilliant DVD of a 1986 performance at Wembley... and their fantastic contribution to Live Aid (as seen in Jelena's video...)

Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds.

Just reached the bit where the alien cylinder has unleashed the deadly heat ray. Absolutely classic stuff.

M.I.A. - Bird Flu

M.I.A. is just refreshing. It's so different and I guess she doesn't take herself too seriously. She has all these fun little things in her songs.

Now Timbaland & Magoo feat. Attitude - Leavin'

(Actually surprisingly good)
