I guess bashing Pleto is a sign of masculinity and hence it attracts the tarts. Hmm...

It's sad, though... I mean, *I* need to pull out my hair of frustration every now and then. I'd love to be amazed at his next irrational ramblings that I can't understand. I had so much fun trying to figure out what the hell he's writing. It's like watching a cheap spagetti western that sucks bigtime while you can't stop watching to see what stupid thing is going to happen next... PLETO COME BACK! --Erngggnnrrrr

None. But I deeply worship the stars (the ones in the sky, not the ones in Hollywood). Though not as you would worship god. I adore the stars.
Still, I don't say that there is no god - I am just not religious, even though my father is catholic (and my mother protestant). I am not even christened. In case of doubt, the CHURCH OF TIM! -

Sorry if this insults anyone. I don't mean to insult anyone.
But what is an agnostic? -

"Agnosticism is the philosophical and theological view that the existence of God, gods or deities is either unknown or inherently unknowable." - Wikipedia
I wouldn't usually trust Wikipedia in anything, but this time it is correct.

I'm Hindu
Hinduism is a rather misunderstood Religion so I'll give a little 411 on the misconceptions: Well First is the Idea that Hindusim is a Polytheistic religion, not true, Hinduism is in fact Henotheistic: Quote:
The best analogy of the Gods of Hinduism is the ocean, the water of the ocean can be seen as one big body of water (analogous to the Brahman), Or as billions of drops(or even as trillions upon trillions of individual water molecules) Depending on your point of view there can be one or one million gods. Another Misconception is the Idea of Reincarnation, known as Samsara, it is the cycle of Birth-death and rebirth based upon one's Karma at death, Karma is not fate however it is merely cause and effect, the cause being our actions and the effect being what happens to us. As we sow so shall we reap to put it bluntly. Karma refers to the totality of our actions and their concomitant reactions in this and previous lives, all of which determines our future. Not all karmas rebound immediately. Some accumulate and return unexpectedly in this or other births. Next the sacredness of Cows: In India cows are considered sacred for a duality of reasons: First the religious reasons: The cow is considered a symbol of motherhood and a creature that gives more than it takes, as a result it is to be respected. Second the sociological reasons: In addition to giving milk, Bulls are used to plow fields, Dung can be used as cooking fuel and they don't require much money to feed because they can graze freely, as a result most Indians require cows for survival. Finally the Worship of Idols. In truth Hindus do not worship the Statues, the statues serve a two fold purpose First off is the mere fact that humans are visual creatures, so seeing is forms makes it easier for worship, since god( or gods depending on point of view) can take any form they choose, the statues are merely for our sake. The second reason is we treat the Statues as windows to god. Think of a closed room with a Window through which god is outside, since you can't go outside you can only worship god through the window, as a result it may look like you are worshipping the window to another person but in truth you are worshipping god who is behind the window. Hope this explains a bit. Last edited by Avinash_Tyagi; 02-05-2005 at 03:57 PM. |

Hinduism doesn't sound all that different from Serbian Orthodoxy to me.

I'm Christian. I wouldn't describe myself as belonging to any particular sect of Christianity, but I am on the protestant side.
