What's your religion?
I know I'm verging on flame-war territory here, so be nice. I'm just curious about the demographic makeup.

I believe the word you were looking for was "protestant".

Strange, I don't remember having lost a word, let alone looking for it...

well, I'm atheist/agnostic. But more of an atheist, really, so that's what I voted.

And FWIW, my definition of "agnostic" is believing that it is impossible to prove or disprove God/a god's existance. In case you were deciding between ag and undecided.

[QUOTE=twifkak]OK.. I don't know enough about the denominations and all, so I didn't realize that Episcopalian and Baptist and all fell under Protestant. My bad. Oh, and I forgot to include Seven Day Adventist (Mormon).
And Jews for Jesus. [quote] Protestants, however, are a much larger group than many of the other religions you included, which is the only reason I brought it up. Quote:

Agnostic. I don't pretend that I know anything about why the universe is like it is.

I guess that this quote will make you understand my beliefs about God. However, if you are interested, my ID writes "christian orthodox"
Get the quote: Tyler Durden: Shut up! Our fathers were our models for God. If our fathers bailed, what does that tell you about God? Narrator: No, no, I... don't... Tyler Durden: Listen to me! You have to consider the possibility that God does not like you. He never wanted you. In all probability, he hates you. This is not the worst thing that can happen. |

I am like Tyler Durden (gabriel)[in ID] but i don't believe in the church of people...In the last 2000 years they totally ruined the religion. I believe in the church of god...(how vacant that can be seen e? )

I was born into a Hindu family, so I am a Hindu. I can't say I humbly believe in every single thing I am told about the religion (afterall, everything I am told is still an interpretation of the ancient 'texts') but I do strive to be as good a Hindu as I can be. Afterall, He has helped me so much, He has helped me to give myself whatever it is I am now capable of, and He has done so much for me. And so I pay Him due respect.
btw, it is of my humble (and near pointless) opinion that it was not correct to make this question a poll. The reason being the last couple of posts, before mine, which are an example of the tension caused by the inability to include every single religion/belief in such a poll. Given that the internet is the most diverse place that 'exists' in the world, room should be allowed for every possibility. An open topic where each person just said what he is may have been more appropriate. But 'tis all good |

I should join Scientology.
I always wanted to be in a bizarre cult with Tom Cruise and John Travolta.

If I wanted to join a bizarre cult I think I would join the Freemasons. They seem so mysteriously interesting.

Well, everyone seems to be joining them these days, so maybe it is time to form something even more secret and powerful.
