Hopefully, they're on holidays getting sunburns or skiing their asses off...

A big part of Germany was haunted by Carnival last weekend from Thursday until Tuesday , so either they suffered some heavy partying or they took flight.

Today is our rather silly 'carnival' day, although it applies mostly to kids. They dress up as all sorts of freaks or characters and terrorize their neighbourhoods with singing to get candy.
Yeah...

Read the Entry for Germany You will notice, that the Carnival here is from November 11th at 11:11 a.m. and ends on Ash Wednesday (don't ask me how Ash Wednesday is determined every year. I think it has something to do with how many weeks before easter. Or the moon. Or both.) Oh, and on "Women's Carnival" (Weiberfastnacht), you shouldn't go out with a tie, if you are male. Well, at least not with your favourite tie. It will get cut off by the women. I'm living near Frankfurt am Main, but I haven't been to the Carnival this year (my school does not have holidays on that those days. ) -

See, that's one of the advantages of living near DĂĽsseldorf - one of German Carnival's capital cities - like I do. You get one day off at work but if you hate carnival - also like I do - you enjoy a nice long weekend!
You know, Trep (or maybe you rather don't ), Carnival in Germany is all about people going crazy all at once as if some unseen force had hit a button. Either you love it or you hate it. It is nothing like the elegant Carnival in Venice/Italy where they have these wonderful costumes and masks and it seems as if they are fay-creatures because they don't talk at all - they just look beautiful. Looks like a period RPG or adventure game come to life.

Oh, good, Carnival. That explains a lot. I spent part of Monday working on a CATV problem with our channel 32, which is where our campus inserts a satellite feed of German TV. I was trying to figure out what could possibly merit a parade that lasted *all day*. I thought maybe Germans were just insane

You know, I briefly dated a young priest once ( at wormsie). He was so hot, a redhead, tall and beefy, and though he looked tough like he could easily tear you apart and throw the pieces in a river, he was soooo sweet. And....and.....HE LOVED CHOCOLATE!! Bless me, Father, for I have sinned.

That's the third time you've told that story.
Must have been good, I assume.

You're implying that wormsie could get pregnant. He cannot.
Also, He may not be a good kisser based on lack of experience. And I usually prefer terrific kissers (which I am, hon). Of course, I could always spare time to teach how.
