Speaking of Mogwai, I saw them perform live a few weeks ago. It was earsplittingly awesome.

Well, we weren't really speaking of Mogwai, but we weren't really speaking of anything. Yeah, I don't know much about Mogwai, other than that they have a song called "Nick Drake" and that a lot of people really like them. I bought a CD of theirs (EP+2) as one of about 10 CDs I bought from a music store clearance sale.

If I hear any more 'clever' uses of the phrase 'Kill Bill', I'll shoot someone.

Went to see it last night, and man, I loved it. Sure, it's not as good as Reservoir Dogs or Pulp Fiction, but it was just so spunktacular! I just wish I'd have gone with people that would've actually enjoyed the film. One of my friends commented: "This was just too weird, man...it could've been good if the main actress was hot." I just wanted to slap his mellow-popcorn-mainstream fucking face!
On an entirely unrelated note, I laughed my ass off over the Scary Movie 3 trailer. Really, I was so not expecting to laugh at it. But the movie will probably screw this all up somehow. It's Scary Movie, it just can't be good.

I'm usually one of the most squemish people when it comes to blood and guts (on tv anyway) and horror style films. I shocked myself in that I actually enjoyed this film and want to see the second part in february. The level of violence was shocking at first but it's amazing how quickly you get used to it. Overall I thought it was a good film (got a round of applause from the rest of the cinema; not seen that in a while) and the Quinten Tarentino sense of humour was very enjoyable. I agree it's not as good as Pulp Fiction; but then not many films are. Definately the best film I've seen this year.
