I have many good plans of redefining my idea of a good time alone or with friends once I finally move back into the city (soon, my friends, soon):

I will stock my little studio apartment with the basic fixings of a bar along with my adored copy of the Mr. Boston Official Bartender's Guide. It'll be lovely having 2 or 3 good friends over on a Saturday evening for drinks and some bonding. This is much more economical - and private - than going out.

I plan on getting back into cooking. I've already promised a friend I'd make fresh quiche lorraine, salad, and mimosas for her for a spring brunch. I'll also start baking fresh chocolate chip and nutmeg cookies again for family and friends (haven't done so in years).

My gaming sessions will be even more, umm....'formal'. That is, I'll slice out several hours one evening a week and really cut loose thematically. Ordering out exotic dinners to eat while playing BS3, sipping White Russians during Syberia II, classic American cheeseburgers and fries while playing Sam & Max: Freelance Police.

Aren't 'mimosae' decorative flowers of some kind?

Oh, hey! Add that to Twif's drink list. I never knew how that one was called - and lest I appeared uncultured - I just avoided mentioning it. *grin*

It seems I like mixing orange juice with right about anything... Er... Back to the topic at hand: I am a lizard, Garyos is a lame gangster.

I was just making fun of my momentary baseness. I generally don't care how uncultured I may appear... For some reason, cocktails are my weak spot... I like to know them all, but fail so often. I could've at least picked up the names of the drinks that I enjoy...

Now, please, back to the gangster lizards...

LOL, that one flew right over you! I typed 'uncluttered', not 'uncultured'.

But....but.... I thought I was your weak spot!

What does a hernia feel like? 'Cause I think I might've just had a brain hernia.

Just imagine Kingzlebub in frothy pink drag. That should cure you.

Ohmigod, I probably shouldn't be reading the Chit Chat forum while I'm at work in the future. It severely hurts my productivity, although they say laughing is good for you!

*insert one of trep's smilies, the one bursting to laughter*
