Default Show your love, send a flower to some soon to be newly weds!

I would like to point all americans out there to this bit of news, and send some flowers to the people in line (if they're still standing there that is) thus giving them some moral support.

It is that I'm not living in the US of A else I would send some myself...

I don't really have the funds right now to send an entire bouquet, but I just donated some money to the effort through PayPal. Aside from the people who sent actual bouquets, this project has collected over $4,000 from people's PayPal donations, all of which will be used to send more flowers. If people want to contribute but can't afford the $20-$50 to send a bouquet themselves, check out Flowers for Al and Don.

Hopefully this whole project makes itself known to people like Bush and Schwarzenegger, both of whom have expressed the desire to revoke these new marriage licenses.

Don't matter if Bush or Schwartzenscnitzel revoke the marriages, the first time they are tested in courts and the court decides (as it very well might since judges are not politicians) that they are legitimate, the end is nigh...

... at least as far as teh Chri57i4n C04li7i0n is concerned.

Apparently Bush is actually planning to make gay marriage unconstitutional... DO NOT RE-ELECT THIS GUY!

On another note...

I would love to send flowers, but with all these expenses of moving I'm so broke I can't even buy myself a bouquet. Cheers to all the newlyweds, though!!!

Actually Ninja, the fight is over whether it will remain constitutional for each state to decide politically whether gay marriage should be legal or illegal. If you are referring to not yet proposed constitutional ammendments (four flavors have been discussed), Bush has not taken a clear position yet.

As far as the remaining viable candidates (Bush, Kerry, Edwards) are concerned, each is against gay marriage.

Pls don't accuse me of homophobia, I'm just giving you the facts. Personally I could care less about this issue.

Erm... Bush himself cannot arbitrarily add constitutional amendments. Among other things, an amendment must be ratified by >75% of the states. You might want to read this:

http://www.archives.gov/federal_regi...t_process.html

...and best of luck to Gavin Newsom (Mayor of San Francisco, for those who don't know). I hope his lawsuit against the state over the issue works out well.
