Happy Freaking End Of 2006
Hey, I'm off out in 30 mins so thought I'd wish you all a happy new year now, and wondering what you all thought of 2006? I had a pretty decent one, and I'm looking forward to 2007, and hoping that I can kick-start a new career that doesn't involve computers or bloody offices.
Have a good one everyone, see you next year

Last year sucked a lot. I spent most of it out of work and broke, and I've only just recently gotten a new job; one that's finally full-time and pays nicely, but is kind of meh otherwise. I've also seen my friendship of 10 years start crumbling and falling apart because my best friend went and changed a great deal on me. (I'm an odd woman who met a guy and *didn't* want him to change. ;P )
The only bright spot of last year was my roleplaying group; that and my cat are pretty much the only things that keep me sane. However, we've had our own spot of trouble there as well, losing players to various problems - including one player even taking ill and dying. This year might be a little better, though, we'll have to see. My job, though meh, *does* pay better than my previous jobs, even with the added expenses of now having to live on my own. And I finally have a clean house now that my former best friend/roommate has moved out all his crap... er, stuff. (Even when I liked him, I hated his massive cluttered piles of mostly unused stuff all over the place.) Peace & Luv, Liz

Be glad your not in Edinburgh Seebruk.
The Hogmany street party is still going ahead with 100,000 people supposed to attend. Looking oot the window shows that it is currently pissing it down and blowing a gale (anout 80 mph according to the news) Glad i'm staying in tonight. 4 hours to midnight

All the best wishes to everyone for 2007.
My year sucked pretty hard as did the years before that and i'm just wondering if 2007 is going to suck as hard. Don't want to think about how it could be worse...

Good riddance to 2006. It wasn't a good year for me. 2007 probably won't be a good year either, but I think it will be better and also allow me to make 2008 a good year.

Happy New Year, everybody. 2006 had a lot of highs and lows. I don't think I can remember a rockier year. But nevertheless, it was a pretty special year for so many reasons. I only hope 2007 is even better.

2006 was probably the best year I've had in a long time.

2006 was... much like 2005. 2007 promises to be better because I don't have any exams this year .

Hello new year! I'm a bit late in wishing everyone a happy new year (actually 4 hours late) but better late than never..
I'm also hoping for a better next year, and hope that I'll be more motivated/happier, and get some more things done..

Happy new year, all. 2ish hours to go, here. I made a bean and hot italian sausage soup and a rice pudding for dessert, and I'm spending the evening playing some Wii Sports and Rayman

Happy New Year to everyone!!
It's a little less than 2 hours for me as well. I spent a last day with my family in Illinois today and flew back. Just got home about a half an hour ago. I'll unpack tomorrow. It was a pretty good year. It was a good year in the people I met who have touched me and helped make me a better person. It was good in the progress I have made with my dissertation project. I look forward to 2007 to work on myself. I do too many things that make my life harder than what it has to be and I hope to work on those things. I hope for better things for my family, especially my mom. I worry about her a lot and I wish for more happiness and peace for her. I wish for better health for my aunt and uncle. I wish for happiness, peace and contentment for my friends. It was kind of cool, as I was driving home from the airport, I got to see part of the fireworks display in downtown Sac. Edit: I should also add that I will finish my disseration in 2007!! Last edited by Melanie68; 12-31-2006 at 10:45 PM. |

That's what I did this evening, too. Except my relatives kept hogging the Wii.

My year 2006 was one of the best in my life, except for December which was propably the worst month ever in my life. Here's for 2007, may it be exciting for everyone of us!

Happy New Year to you all!
My 2006 was a year of major personal development. I went from a burn-out situation, without energy towards a new approach to life. I'm on my way and my hope for 2007 is that things will progress in the same direction and pace as now. @Jeysie Congratulations on your new job! I'm so happy that things worked out for you.
