Default E. Coli Outbreak do not eat your spinach

This is a very important information. There is an outbreak of E. Colie in at least 20 States here in the U.S.A. The FDA is warning people not to eat there spinach. Supermarkets are taking the spinach off there shelves!

I'm not trying to sound rude, but that's not the optimal way to go. To spinach...

Just when I decided to start eating healthy and I bought some spinach from the grocery store, this happened. I guess being a couch potatoe sometimes can save your life

I would note, just for the record, that the warning refers to *bagged* fresh spinach. Says nothing at all about *canned* preserved spinach, or other vegetables, for that matter. So you can still eat your spinach.

Our supermarkets are removing bagged spinach from the US.

But let's be honest here... canned spinach is revolting...

I think the reason that all these folks get sick from things like E-Coli is that we are so isolated that we aren't exposed to these germs at an early age and so do not have an immunity to them when they hit us. In this world of ultra sanitization... get dirty every now and then folks.

I think that's true that we don't challenge our immune systems. However, that doesn't always work with some pathogens.

The strain of E. coli (and there are many, many strains) that is causing the problem is O157:H7 which produces a verotoxin which makes it a very pathogenic strain.
