Some people's brains can't do this and they have a really hard time learning to read and write.

After three words I realised that I'd seen this before.

It's still impressive, though.

Yeah, that' pretty cool, eh? I mean, what our minds are capable of.

But I wonder if I also had no problem reading that because I've a very visually oriented individual in the first place (an artist and designer). I very strongly associate images - including language - as symbols and with concepts and ideas.

Even so, you knew what the word was even though it was spelled wrong and had too many letters

Yep, that one got me for a bit too. It's 'repost'. I figure since this word hasn't been in our collective vocabulary (very internetish) very long that's why it didn't click right away.

I can appreciate that and didn't expect that all people would be able to read it easily. I imagine that people who don't have english as a mother tongue could have a bit of difficulty too.

At that site Squinky linked to, there was several other languages given, and I had no trouble reading it in French, though a bit slower than usual, but then I read French slower anyway.

Thehee, yeah, nice. Saw something similar. This also works if only the upper half of all letters is really visible. Wicked.
