Hrm...got myself these great shoes this year (for sale too! wasn't it perfect!)
It turned out they give me the worst pain plus on a couple of spots even dug through the skin.
I still wear them with band aids at times I know I won't be walking so much, like in a pub/bar. I can be soooo vain.

Not to give you the wrong idea about me: I mostly wear comfortable shoes.

I'm normally the same way; however, it was Halloween, and I had always wanted a pair of platform shoes with fish in them. Oh well, now they sit on top of my dresser.

None of those guys.

These were four: two on drums and two with bagpipes. They all had lots of tattooes and cool hair styles and their costumes were black (leather) and wine red.

I'd totally get one if I could get a waterbed mattress with fish inside it to match.

No. I just don't get on hugely well with young children at the best of times, and intensely dislike the whole idea of bugging your neighbours for sweets .

So? Go with your strengths: Dress up and/or act in a manner that will scare the little buggers so badly that they soil themselves and run screaming home to Mommy.
Doing this can be very cathartic, plus you get to keep all your candy for yourself.

I'll even give you a suggestion: Get a small-size child's costume, the all-in-one variety is best. Stuff it scarecrow-style so that it resembles an actual child in costume. Now dress yourself up in any costume you like (or none at all) and when kids get near your door make sure they see you skulking about in the bushes with the fake trick-or-treater clenched in your teeth.

OMG you I would love to be a fly on the wall or in the bushes when he did that, that would be great.

Heh, reminds me of the story how Michael "Bully" Herbig 'greets' Jehova's Witnesses.
