I love those sketches Igor. It sort of has a Triplets of Belleville atmosphere, cheery but sort of gritty at the same time (esp. the kid sketches).

Great Sketch Tullis!
And once again, nice work Vanity! Here's some sketches for my two characters in a forum Roleplay in another forum. Harakka is a pyromaniac, short, and slightly autistic elf, and Kagagi is her elder sister. I haven't actually gotten to play Kagagi yet, since we're still investigating what has happened to her. The roleplay takes place just after the most recent Aielund module.I can't Remember if I posted the picture I drew of my character being carried piggy back by Robert Black? It's the same world and the same time, as well as the same place. But not my same character (But Savant did play Robert Black for some time, before departing the Inn). If you want to read the short bios of the characters, you can do so here Harakka Rowan - This is where her sleeves are burning. Her eyes are not that long, but she has tears in her eyes. It should look better in the final, and with colour. Kagagi Rowan - Don't pay attention to the red at the end of her braid; I was going to raw a blood-stained corpse first, but decided it looks like how I imagined Kagagi. She'll also get proper ears in the final. And for completeness' sake, here's the piggy back picture too: Robert Black and Shariveillin Seveen I might post some more later on. Forgive me if I double post pictures, because I seem to be unable to find the old art thread, and can thus not check which ones I have already posted. -

This isn't my artwork. This was done by my 5 year old niece, Hannah (she signed it on the top).
It is a portrait of a little boy named Aaron that she goes to daycare and kindergarden with. She wants to marry him apparently. I think it's cute and incredibly funny (says the biased aunt). |

These Trekbbs contest entries seem to be the only art I'm making lately (except the stuff I doodle in class).
This one was to come up with a concept for a Trek spin-off show that would be a complete failure. My entry is a DVD cover for a Klingon martial arts show that parodies "Kung Fu". I was gonna add a backside to make it clearer why the show failed, but ran out of time...suffice it to say that it was filmed entirely in Klingon.

Hmm. While digging through old files the other day, I came across a sketch I did something like 10 years ago. Not as awesome as the stuff I've seen here, but loads better than my usual stuff (which probably says a lot about my artistic ability ).
Linky to a quick scan of it: Super Metroid sketch, whee! Samus herself looks silly, but I like the rest of it. Especially her ship. How did I draw that? Peace & Luv, Liz

I wish I had a scanner. Photos simply wouldn't do it all justice.
Instead, here's some photoshop art I've done recently: "Your worst nightmare" "My worst nightmare." "That's why you don't fuck with marie" "MARIE fainted!" |

It's not directly art, but it's certainly artsy. I've turned my webcomic Captain August into a year-long remake of Moby Dick! It'll be the weirdest interpretation of Melville's epic you ever saw. Check it out!

Funny bit of trivia: an early name for Starbucks was Pequods, but they didn't want to sell PECK WADS or PEE QUADS or whatever so they changed the name. Imagine a word in which you had PEQUADS all over the place!

My roommate is playing Deus Ex 2 and in it is a coffee-shop war between Pequods and Queequegs. The hilarity.
