Well, this was rather amusing, in MtG Salvation: http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showthread.php?t=35791
It was done in collaboration with MtG News, but they seem to have removed their announcement.

And Salvation really went all the way with it, they really incorporated lots of the changes, for example had all the words like Magic censored...

Of course it's in addition to recent events there that made it so almost-believable.

Don't know if anyone noticed this one, but a certain Abandonware site (can't name names, obviously) announced that they had struck a deal with Lucasarts (to crazy even for April fools day) and were hosting The Curse of Monkey Island as freeware. Clicking on the link unsurprisingly takes you to the Wikipedia entry for April Fools Day.

Courtesy of the UK newspaper the Guardian.

The main story about identity theft is all too real but the support story Pucker up for pukka security about a new credit card security set-up is just a tad suspicious.

A thread most controversial, that’s what I want to start
Full of impassioned arguments, of posting from the heart
And for this stimulation all will be thankful to me
On come on everybody it won’t work if you agree

Heh, some site announced (I'm not sure if this is only that one Finnish site or if it's a joke from somewhere else) that Pandemic Studios is making the game Walker, Texas Ranger: Double Impact for the Revolution. they also said that there was also going to be Steven Seagal as another playable character, and that there was going to be a special controller that is attached to your leg, so that you were going to be able to make Norris' "roundhouse kick"
