By the way, anyone remember a couple years ago when Google announced gmail on 3/31 and blogs and such everywhere were ridiculing press for falling for such an "obvious" hoax? This one's pretty awesome. I especially love the quote "Several major media outlets have picked up Google’s “Gmail” prank and are running it as a real news story."

Don't sweat it, eriq. People are moaning to me because I made mine too believable. Which just confirms that people will never be satisfied.

EDIT: And the news item isn't what Doug was referring to, I might add.

Come on, of course it's TOO believable! You're setting yourself up for a lot of egg on your face when they do get released in a few decades.

And I've been looking all over the site for that AG prank, but can't find a trace. As lame as I'm sure it will no doubt be (they all are, really, but sometimes the lameness laps itself and it becomes funny), I want to see what it is!

You could have tried something like changing the Logo to Telltale Gamers and annoncing we were the new official forum.

i personally think that the AGS one was the biggest one since they had taken precautions to make it believable (like adding a game with the 'new engine' into the Games In Production thread and making a technical enquiry about the beta).

so what were your best april foolsies?
i was on a paperround until 12 so i couldnt fool no-one.

I was watching an episode of Full Metal Alchemist on Adult Swim tonight and they added fart noises throughout the entire show. It ended up being a lot funnier than I thought it would be.
