A lesson I've learned - never post when you're really crabby (because sometimes you get annoyed about things you normally wouldn't when you're in a better mood).

I don't respond slowly because I'm a dullard (well, not entirely because I'm a dullard), I do so because I frequently edit and re-word my responses several times before submitting them. I find that doing so spares feelings and saves wear & tear on my nerves...plus I get to correct my spelling errors.

I used to do that too, but ultimately it became frustrating. I noticed that after all that editing I had only one or two sentences left of what initially had been a rather longish post.

Aw, sweetie, you're just too hard on yourself! And you don't post often enough any more, so relax and let it rip! And you, Mr. Scott, you, "I don't respond slowly because I'm a dullard (well, not entirely because I'm a dullard)" are NO dullard - au contraire, mon ami, you are VERY intelligent (as well as sweet). Glad you're staying Robert! I love your posts.
I also take a long time to make posts in contentious topics. It can be easy to get irritated at condescending posts. But I always try to respond courteously even if I disagree completely with a post. If that doesn't happen, I just stay out of the discussion and stick to the "what are you eating thread" -- yum! Seriously, these dead-horse debates will pop up just like they do in every other forum, but the majority of the discussions here are good and interesting, so I stay for the good company -- which includes you!

Shit really does only happen when I'm not around. I won't be on again for a week or so, by which time SJH and Mira will probably be married with kids, Scott will have become a mormon, who knows!
Glad you're staying Bobby boy.

I like to communicate with people from different backgrounds. So far I found this forum the best place for me, despite of... I can't think of the right word (supposed to be resting, I just passed out just now actually Long story). Even though I do find some comments that do strike a nerve, but still, it's fun. I can always look forward to a SamNMax vs. Temps for a good chuckle

I just noticed my post got bumped down because I certainly didn't see any of the posts above when I was posting! You guys typed quick!
Anyways, Rob: Nah, I doubt you'd be able to stay away. You just can't resist Thread Must Die... because you know deep inside, the minute you step out, I'll win!
