Default Wonders of Marmite

Marmite soup . This is what I was told by a friend today. I brought back a jar of Marmite from London, and she told me to take a teaspoonful and add it to a mug of hot water, stir and voila! Marmite soup!

Just had a sip. Not bad.

What else can you do with this stuff besides spreading it onto a slice of bread?

I think quorn wins that competition. It's a fungus grown in huge vats and then shaped into novelty turkeys and what not for vegetarians.

But it's great! It's rich with Vitamin B!

Myself, I had coffee and toast with Vegemite and butter this morning. I think Vegemite is to Aussies what Marmite is to the Brits.

But Marmite soup probably won't work for me. For hot broth I prefer using concentrated paste of roasted beef stock and adding a teaspoon of vegetable oil and fresh sliced green onions (scallions). It's perfect for a late night sipping fest.

Oh! We Malays call that "daun bawang".

I can never remember the English version of the Malay word for certain type of vegetables and vice versa.

I have a different brand and it's in a small jar, found it at Winco for cheap.

None of those uniformed men do it for me.

I'll take the nice pussy, though.

Heh heh that's a good website.
