Default Creature Comforts

Just curious whether anyone else watches this show. It strikes me as a very odd sort of production. There's nothing especially entertaining about the subject matter, but it's a weirdly addictive show. Maybe I just like watching Aardman's animation, who knows

I had seen a few minutes of that on PBS, but I didn't know what it was. I can't remember if I liked it or not. I'm leaning towards boring.

But it can't compare with the awesome power Trollz!

Damn are kids shows ****ing lame these days.

I think its interesting because they dont animate and design the characters around what people look like or do but what they talk about
and they include all the stupid things that happen in the background

To get back to Doug's original question...

I've seen the zoo episode (have it on VHS) and ran into the beach episode and dog&cat episode on Comedy Central a couple of years ago. I had no idea it was a series until I ran into a DVD of the first season's episodes (and bought it). I love it. It's the animation and just the variety of British accents coming from the various animals. I haven't actually watched my DVD yet (and now I want to - thanks Doug ).

Heh... I love Aardman's style. The mouths especially always crack me up. Plus I really like the way they do dogs (especially Gromit )

Yes, the very same. They've resurrected the Franchise, just as they did with He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.

The way I understand it, the new Trollz are a group of friends that use magic (now, why does this sound familiar?). There are also male Trollz, but the girls are the main characters.

Also, the toys now look like this:

They still seem to use the same quality of hair for them...

I believe Aardman also does the Chevron gas commercials too.

I've really come to love this show, to the point that I've picked up Episodes 1-13 on DVD.

The painstakingly realised animation is wonderful to watch and I like that the interviews are natural and unscripted. Which is probably the funniest thing about the show - the fact that the often bizarre comments are being uttered by real people.
