Default Your favorite dreams

Some people remember more dreams than other. I remember a dream about every other night, though I know people who haven't remembered a dream in ten years. For those of you who do remember dreams, let's post them here. Let's avoid throwing Freudian crap at each other and just enjoy the surrealness of dream stories. Cause I totally love dreams. They're like independent French movies, except all for free, and potentially every night!

Okay so last week I dreamed about a rat with a cooking hat. He walked into a room. I was sitting at a long table with lots of people, and everyone agreed that the rat walking into the room was something to be cheerful about. The rat took a bow, then left again hastily. Tention grew over who "knew" and who "didn't". People at the table shifty eyed each other. Then the rat with the cooking hat came back carrying a big plate with a dead, fried rat on it. The room was filled with excitement as the rat carefully cut off a piece of the fried rat for everyone. But then, suddenly, the cops busted into the place and started randomly arresting people. I was the only who managed to escape.

Yeah, so

Now you tell one.

That's.... twisted.

It would be interesting to walk around in your mind, like in Psychonauts.

I wake up in the middle of the night, and get an uncontrollable urge to borrow my brother's car and take my (upright) piano with me. I carry the piano down the stairs and outside, where the car is parked. Unfortunately the piano is too big, so I cast a magic spell on it, and tada, it shrinks a little, enough for it to fit into the backseat. I get in the car and drive to the end of a road nearby, get out, get the piano out and start playing a walz by Chopin.

I start wondering what on earth I'm doing here. My brother won't ike me borrowing his car without asking. Besides, it's raining - the piano's getting wet! I go back home and carry the piano inside.

Later my brother says to me: "Look, you've shrunk it!"

I reply: "Yeah, but see? Now I can reach an octave + five keys!"

I woke up.

Zombies, out to get me. I love those dreams. I am never terrified when I am awake (except maybe from hillbillies), so dreams make it possible. Yay for nocturnal adrenalin rushes, yay!

I use to dream my dreams before I fall asleep.

That's because I seldom remember the dreams I have when I am asleep. They usually disappear while I'm showering... I've dreamt up tons of great movie scripts that'll never leave my god-damned unconcious....

My dreams are never as surreal as the ones described by Marek's or deadworms and on the other hand never as logically connected either.

Usually everything is shifting around, people are changing and the locations are changing. One moment I'm talking to one person but suddenly in the next "scene" it's another person. There's no definitive moment where I could say: there was this thing and then this happened to it. For example the piano would have surely changed into a pocket-knife in my dream and I wouldn't have noticed it before waking up.

One cool dream I remember is: I was driving around in my Moskvitch in my hometown with a couple of girls from my class and one moment we realised that we had to drive off the planet because one of them had a bomb in her belly that would blow up the world.

For a while I actually wrote down my dreams just after I woke up. Now most of the time I remember them without taking notes.

Some of my dreams have events that are really logically connected, but sometimes they're just a giant mix of images like Erkki described. Or, there's just a certain feeling or concept that drags on for ages but somehow stays fresh every second (as far as time can be perceived in sleep, anyhow). E.g. "chilling on the couch and feeling generally good about myself for hours", or "paintballing inside a concrete building with my friends, still paintballing inside a concrete building with my friends, even more paintballing inside a concrete building with my friends, etc. etc." I had the latter dream two nights ago. Although it doesn't sound as cool as the one about the rat, it was actually a lot more exciting. (I'm giving it 4 stars out of 5: ****)

Since I threateneded to use drano, they've left me alone. Damn zombies. I really need to know if it works... Hmm... Drano... Right... I did mention Drano! You know, that is the solution to my problems and I myself had sugested it, me, alone, without anyone's help, a while ago not knowing that it would be of consequence NOW! YES! DRANO!

There is this clog, you see......

Well,

I'm sure a Psychology Student/Professional among us can easily interpret these dreams you describe. They'll mostly turn out to be childhood traumas of a potentially sexual theme.

Anyways,my dreams are either too simple or too complex to describe.

None of them involve Zombies though.

I once watched the HL2 E3 movie just before going to bed.I later dreamt that I was Gordon Freeman and was walking through the areas in the demo.But...there was something different..something peculiar.I didn't notice it at first. But there was a group of people wearing name tags just standing and watching me.I felt like a fish in an aquarium.

Yes,well.

Kingz is here !

BTW, does anyone other than me have the recurring dram of pulling out hair of your mouth? It's this long strand of hair that's connected to some part of my internal organs. And I spend the whole night...just...dragging. And it always snaps, and never gets shorter, and I go on and on and on....

I usually get it after a couple of days where my diet consists of nothing but bad food and coca cola (LAN parties, no parents home, etc.)

Unfortunately, my alarm clock always wakes me up in the middle of a dream...
Last night's one was weird...
I dreamt about Marioand I think I was Luigi, and two other guys were therem they looked like older version of Wario and Waluigi (uncles, maybe)...
We were at Bowser's castle and all of the sudden they kidnap the Waluigi look-alike, a mechanical hand drags it away and we follow it...

To a weird cinema, inside it was kafkian, I found a bag of crisps, they were stale/rotten, the halls are colorfull in a blinding and a annoying way, they curve and bend in weird ways, I hear a voice say something like "Welcome to the cinema of Hell!"...

And then the alarm clock rings...

In most of my dreams I can fly, VERY badly like the guy from that old series about a bubmling super hero...

Since we are talking about dreams I would like to ask a question:

-Have you noticed that your dream world is slighty stuctured? My dream world is different from the real, but it almost never changes...

My grandma's house looks like it was build by Escher, and so does everything else... If I enter a small place the interior is huge, the train staion is insane track going nowhere and such...

One recurring dream I have is going to the game store and find out they have lots of games and I'm broke or viceversa....

I just remembered a dream... I was at some japanese Expo, and I think I tripped over some yakuza or somethig (yes, the expo had yakuza and street figthers...), so I had to run for my life, around the corner I saw a nasty looking sumo wrestler so I ducked in the first place I saw....

It was a geek paradise, comics, games, you name it, most were japanese but they had all sorts of stuff, when I hit the games section I found out I was dreaming... I had to be, because I saw a collector's edition of LARRY 8!
So I just browsed and enjoyed it till I woke up....

I also dream of a weird mall... some parts are half built or being rebuilt.. you can see the outside, there was something wrong the parking lot too, but I can't remember... Some parts were old and wooden I think it was called Aromatorium...

Hmm.. I better stop... Before someone calls the loony bin...

I seem to have a lot of dreams where I kill someone. But those have mostly subsided now thank goodness.

And the obvious answer to this thread is: WET DREAMS!

Err..correct me if I'm wrong...but I thought that you could never Read in dreams.Something about reading done by the left hemisphere of the brain and dreaming the right.Or is it the opposite ?
And it feels good to know that there are people other than me who dream about games.
