Default ARRGH! Please tell me to stop frequenting craig's list!

Why did I look?! I'm not even there yet!

I've been scouting craig's list for jobs and housing in San Francisco so to know what those climates are for when I move there. I want to live either in the city or in Oakland. Just now I peeked and saw a sweet, affordable little studio that allows kittens, near Lake Merritt, a few blocks away from the train that in 45 minutes would deposit me in S.F. ACH! I want it, and I'm not even there yet!

........... can you guys tell I'm antsy to start my new life?

I won't tell you to stop, purely because I want you to succeed and find somewhere for me to visit for a cheap holiday to make your new home!

Thanks.

I make some mean dinners, too, like Thai and Indonesian style dishes, quiche lorraine, curry chicken with potatoes, shepherd's pie, etc. You'll be well fed if you come over, but you'll be buying me my drinks.

You never said you could cook. I'll grab the first plain there.

Can you make Baumkuchen too?

In other news, I found the webpage of the Rabbit with the pancake on his head. He's called Oolong (he died 2003 ).

Ooh! That place's faintly Arts&Crafts/Neo-Asian minimalism suits you, Trep. A few good Stickley reproductions, some rich fabrics here and there, and a couple of earthy ceramic pieces for accent would make it a showplace.

Thank you. Not that your command will work, of course.

Aww, thanks! But I have to be realistic and be open to things. I'm not really demanding, as long it's affordable and in a good neighbourhood within walking distance of public transport.

The recipe doesn't actually look that complex. Not that I'm about to try it. Cooking normally involves me getting hurt or producing something thoroughly disgusting.

I actually prefer the version without the apricot jam.

The problem is not really the baking, but getting the form. It's supposed to be baked over an open fire, and on this turning spike. The way the new layers of dough are poured on also create the wavy shape.

It's absolutely delicious!

It's possible to get burned from a source of great heat under the covers, but it wouldn't be from the sun...

You said you were going to get cooked. That's one way of saying that you're getting sunburnt.

Never mind. I found it funny ...
