Default Video game vixens (including Carla Valenti) return to Playboy

http://money.cnn.com/2005/09/08/comm...column_gaming/

Quote:
Carla Valenti's a NYPD detective. She's 28 years old, stands 5'7" and weighs 128 lbs. She's currently leading the investigation into a shooting at a local diner, trying to track down a suspect by the name of Lucas Kane.

So where in the world did she find the time to appear buck naked in the current issue of Playboy magazine?

Carla's not real, mind you... She's a character in Atari's upcoming action/adventure game "Indigo Prophecy". And she's hardly alone. Seven other video game femme fatale, heroines and bit characters have once again shimmied out of their clothes for a digital pictorial in the men's magazine.

Joining Carla are a cheerleader from Midway's upcoming "Blitz: The League", Sony's megahit "God of War," Vivendi's "50 Cent: Bulletproof," "Playboy: The Mansion ?Private Party," "Darkwatch," and "Hellgate: London".

Ironic that she can appear naked in a ("tasteful") US publication, but not in the US version of the game.

Well, it's not like American parents stupidly buy Playboy for their 13-year-old kids.

When testosterone rears its head (pun intended), never doubt the ingenuity of a hormone-laden male

That's the first time I've ever heard of a hard-on being ingenius.

in·gen·ious
1. Marked by inventive skill and imagination.
2. Having or arising from an inventive or cunning mind; clever: an ingenious scheme. See Synonyms at clever.
3. Obsolete. Having genius; brilliant.

I kind of prefer the "obsolete" definition - they are brilliant

No, they buy them for themselves and then leave them where their 13-year-old kids (or younger) can find them.

I still have terrible memories of the day my best friend and I stumbled across her dad's Playboys at age 8...

This sort of thing often makes me lament how many 3D modellers haven't studied anatomy. Ack.

My father used to read way better (as in European?) than Plaboy. Hi dad!

That's not wot I meant, breeder.

*hint* I finally rented and watched Swimming Pool last night and wished that Americans could be that relaxed about sexuality, or at least understanding.

Looks like we have our answer as to whether or not the sex scenes in Indigo Prophecy are gratuitous.

My dad never bothered to hide the nudie magazines either, but I didn't have any problems with that. I think I was the only 5 year old whose walls were decorated with centerfolds and not Mickey Mouse posters

Porn was such a magical thing at that age.

I used to horde my older brothers' Playboy magazines just to cut out the Patrick Nagel illustrations and scotch tape them on my school folders. It was the early 80s.

Nice. The movie is lacking, somehow, but still very sensual.

Lacking in what?

Back on topic: Is there a Playgirl equivalent of all this with Lucas Kane as centerfold?
