You gotta check out this russian website:
http://www.disco80.ru/index.php?an=video_cl80&page=1
They offer downloads of 1980s musicvideos.

I especially like the one for Limahl: Neverending Story.
Aaah, nostalgia.

Thanks for the link. I have The Neverending Story downloaded. It reminded me of another favorite - Mark Knofler's Princess Bride.
I like it when one song reminds you of another, so before you know it, you've whiled away hours checking out music.

I was just thinking about A-ha the other day and I've been listening to Hunting High and Low on Real Rhapsody while in the office. I like that album (I still have it as a matter of fact).

Do You Wanna Hold Me
Bow Wow Wow

Children, I wanna warn ya,
'cos I've been to California
Where Mickey Mouse is such a demon,
where Mickey Mouse is as big as a house!

Ba da da ta da da
Whoah!

Life is wasted on illusions,
Tom and Jerry's no solution
Evil gangs will cut the demons,
But I belong some real boy, look around!!

Ba da da ta da da
Whoah!

And I cried all night,
Do you wanna hold me, hold me tight?
Do you wanna hold me, oh yeah
Do you wanna hold me, hold me there?

Children, you got to hear me,
You've just got to understand me!
Love and death ain't no physical thing
'Cos Mickey Mouse, he don't wanna know!

Ba da da ta da da
Whoah!

And I cried all night,
Do you wanna hold me, hold me tight
Do you wanna hold me, oh yeah,
Do you wanna hold me, hold me there?

And I cried all night,
There ain't no more confusion in the night
There's someone there to tell me what is right

Do you wanna hold me, hold me tight?
And I cried all night, there's only one solution to this life
There's someone there to tell me what it's like

Do you wanna hold me, oh yeah, do you wanna hold me?

*sigh*

w000! I'm on a roll! Dammit, I need a drink and a bar to have it in!

Life's What You Make It
Talk Talk

Baby, life's what you make it
Can't escape it
Baby, yesterday's favorite
Don't you hate it
Baby, life's what you make it
Don't backdate it
Baby, life's what you make it
Beauty is naked
Baby, life's what you make it
Celebrate it
Anticipate it
Yesterday's faded
Nothing can change it
Baby, life's what you make it

(extended version, goddamn is it sexy!)

The Sun Always Shines On T.V.
A-ha

Touch me
How can it be
Believe me
The sun always shines on T.V
Hold me
Close to your heart
Touch me
And give all your love to me
To me...

I Reached inside myself
And found nothing there
To ease the pressure of
My ever worrying mind
All my powers waste away
I fear the crazed and lonely looks
The mirror's sending me
These Days
Please don't ask me to defend
The shamefull lowlands
Of the way I'm drifting
Gloomily through time

I reached inside myself today
Thinking there's got to be some way
To keep my troubles distant

Touch me
How can it be
Believe me
The sun always shines on TV
Hold me
Close to your heart
Touch me
And give all your love to me

I used to have a HUGE crush on all three of them. Who didn't back then? I love this song, and I remember being floored by the video then, the editing was brilliant.

ACH!!! I can't stop!

Land Down Under
Men At Work

Traveling in a fried-out combie
On a hippie trail, head full of zombie
I met a strange lady, she made me nervous
She took me in and gave me breakfast
And she said,

"Do you come from a land down under?
Where women glow and men plunder?
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover."

Buying bread from a man in Brussels
He was six foot four and full of muscles
I said, "Do you speak-a my language?"
He just smiled and gave me a vegemite sandwich
And he said,

"I come from a land down under
Where beer does flow and men chunder
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover."

Lying in a den in Bombay
With a slack jaw, and not much to say
I said to the man, "Are you trying to tempt me
Because I come from the land of plenty?"
And he said,

"Oh! Do you come from a land down under? (oh yeah yeah)
Where women glow and men plunder?
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover!!!!"

Weeeee!!!!
