Default What Did Santa Bring You?

Much to the surprise of myself and anyone who knows me, I got neither switches nor lumps of coal this year. Go figure.
I did get:
New bluejeans.
A nifty multi-tool, complete with LED flashlight built in.
And best of all, the book "Interior Desecrations-Hideous Homes Of The Horrible '70s" by James Lileks. Apparently Santa is aware of my fascination with kitsch, and approves.
So, what was in your stocking this year?

Nuthin'. Nada. Zero. Null. It's true! I didn't deserve it, anyway..

Aw Sam, I'm so sorry.
Maybe we could take up a collection around here for you?

You don't have to be.. Like I said, I didn't deserve much of anything (not even a lump of coal.. ). Ah, maybe next year. Or the year after next year. Or..

Well, Sam, I didn't get anything either, but maybe Santa will bring me a new job - that would make up for it.

I've heard Santa and one of his angels got fired recently (and they didn't want Tim Allen back for the job, either..). Maybe we should fill out application forms.

I was rather peed off this christmas, I bought 27 nice gifts for all my friends (DVDs, Games...) and I recieved NO gives from them at all. I know christmas is about giving and not recieving but you gotta make other people feel special too.

So I ended up buying myself:
- First 10 issues of the Tomb Raider Comic book series.
- Quake 4

And thats about it, I didn't have eny money left after buying all those presents.

Krazy, that's some great stuff! Three of my fave films (one of which I still don't have - Iron Giant)... Looney Tunes on DVD, great! What book did you get? You're obviously into animation. I'm a storyboard artist, something I like to regularly jam down the throats of other forumites, so it's always great to see someone with an obsession with the pencil arts.

Mira got -
Alias Season 3, new hat, 1001 Nights (a great illustrated book), all from moi

I got -
£35 gift voucher from my brother with which got The Killers; Hot Fuss (latecomer but like their Duran Duran stylee) and Super Mario Kart DS
From Mira; JoJo and The Stars DVD (studio AKA production, beautiful), a very special book and Condemned on the 360 which is FREAKIN' SCARY.

Seriously, Condemned is like an action Still Life. Its got the same kind of backdrops, only in 3D!

Of course, all this is great. But my biggest present to someone and gift was having Mira here to share it with.

Book I got:http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...venturegame-20 (my brother got it for me) seems to cover a hell of a lot of stuff, looks like an intresting read. Also I should mention my little brother got Kiki's Delivery Service (great film) thanks to me introducing it to him And yes, cartoons are indeed very, very spiffy. I imagine that must be a pretty fun job.

I got a DAB radio which is great, and the usual collection of stuff like socks and aftershave. Still got loads of presents to open when I get back to London, woohoo! Here's hoping for a PSP...

Santa brought me some sweets and a notebook .

From my family I got Zork: Grand Inquisitor, The Phantom of the Opera (the musical) on DVD, the Wallace & Gromit shorts, a mini-fridge (cold drinks at university!) and a couple of little things. And some money, some of which has been spent on ordering F.E.A.R. to add to the copy of Quake 4 that arrived in the post on Christmas Eve.

My husband (er...Santa ) was very nice to me this year -- I got a lot of new winter clothes, chocolates, and books. But he also surprised me with an electric keyboard, that little sneaker. I had absolutely no idea I was getting it (he'd stashed it at his parents house).
