Here's a quotation from that IMDB page:

Quote:
I love Peter Ustinov as Hercule Poirot. Forget all those other phonies who've tried to fill his shoes! Including that ridiculous Murder on the Orient Express, or that laughable David Sachet!
So, so wrong.

I've only seen a brief clip from Thirteen at Dinner (having Suchet as Japp is indeed interesting), but I'm a fan of Lord Edgware Dies - the Suchet version - so I suspect I'd be disappointed.

There is no "lunch". Only breakfast, dinner, and supper.

Or so Minnesotans say.

What about brunch? The best combination there is.

No brunch. That becomes breakfast, after we get back from fishing all morning.

Apparently that's what Northerners say too, at least according to Carol Vorderman on a recent episode of Countdown.

Well I sleep late in the weekends as well as the rest of my family (that's when having teenage kids is great). Getting up at 10.30 am makes the first meal a brunch.

I usually forget myself and refer to the middle meal as lunch, so I'm not any legalist about the whole thing.

I can live with the dinner and supper thing (though "dinner" is confusing because I use it interchangably with "supper" anyway), but what really annoys me is the use of "tea" instead of dinner/supper. Tea is what you have in the middle of the afternoon, dammit!

Violets are blue,
this post doesn't lack.
We all know that "tea",
is a glorified snack!

I've been wondering about that since I've heard it on the ever lasting Yorkshire soap Emerdale. Is it a regional expression?

Unless you're having High Tea, people really should distinguish between afternoon tea and high tea.

I too hate when people refer to their evening meal as "tea."
