I think you'd be hard put to get any cat to stand still for this sort of thing anyway. I find it hard enough to get mine to hold still for her anti-flea treatment which is just a couple of drops of liquid on the back of her neck.

I think you took me a little too serious. I was just looning around (I am the official Loony of this site, and the Loony Empress of this planet, you see.). I was just playing on the term "Bonsai Kitten". You see, Bonsai's don't get their shape just from the pruning (that's mostly for keeping them small), but you also wrap wire around them to get them to grow in the desired shape. Though this might be okay for trees, it is of course not something you should ever do to an animal. I love animals, and I would never even think of hurting one. My parents raised me to respect even animals (I was one of the people trying to save the snails in the flowerpots of my primary school from the boots of some of the boys on rainy days). And even though I might occasionally jest at forming kittens with wire or am proclaiming the stupidity of pigeons (they are pretty stupid, though sharp-eyed, don't you agree?), I would never actually think of doing such a thing. I love animals, and anyone who hurts them shall be on the receiving end of my wrath. By the way, my family personally has several pets. Two dogs (though one of them is usually with my sister, who is studying Veterinary medicine in another city.), two bunnies, and two guinea pigs. My sisters and I have all been members of the Youth Club of the Frankfurt Zoo where we learned further respect for animals, and also learned a lot about them. I hope this is enough proof (if at all) for my good intentions towards animals. Just in case you are interested, this is the windswept design for a Bonsai. Not really transferable to an animal, least of all a kitten, don't you think? -

For vampires you should try to find a copy of the short story "CarmillA" by Sheridan Le Fanu. One of the vampiric limitations in that is the vampire is only able to use anagrams of its real name (it can't use a completly false name) Hmmm! I seem to recall a story about a vampire called LycRae a little while back. I wonder if they're still around.

Scot and Step
I´m not sure I´ll ever read anything about vampires again after reading The Historian. The story isn´t brutal, not yet anyway, but it´s building up a tension in a very subtle way. That´s both appeling and terrifying at the same time. I recommend it. *shivers* Step Your cat is lovely. My neighbour has a male cat (Nisse) that often sits on our door step. Nisse isn´t allowed inside (imagine this terrible winter) his own home ever since the neighbour bought a dog. He is rubbing himself to everyone that stops and pet him. My dog Jaffa as well. If he gets the chance he jumps up to sit on my shoulders, on the neck like a shawl. I just love him and I often think of stealing this cat. Would that be so bad? |
