A forum where I used to be a regular has an automatic script changing "lol" into "I'm dumb!" in people's posts.

It's because I am nobody, and I buy them. (I assume your post was inspired by geggis' post.)

On an unrelated note, I just noted that I have 501 posts in this forum (and 500 over at Adventure Developers). Added together, that's almost a tenth of RLacey's posts in this thread.

At least in the UK, it's because the distributers of that particular title (THQ) waited nine months before putting the game out, and then released it with no fanfare, shipping a couple of copies to a few stores. I saw the game in - literally - one shop. Ever.

I hope it was inspired by my post/quote and not GTA IV lurking in my sig! That was the first GTA I've ever played and it was so repetitive and pathetically underwhelming that I'm still angry about the 45 hours I spent grinding through it! The friends who insisted I play it are on dangerous ground...

Though in truth, I perhaps needed it to extinguish what little fire I had for big releases. Indie/niche/hobbyist gaming is far more exciting and inspirational.

So is this thread ever going to die? It will die when the server does. Advantage geggis!

Only if you take her on a roller coaster or for a walk on a wobbly suspension bridge.

This just in. Shreddies arrested for wrongful imprisonment of hunger. The accused was heard to shout out "I was going to let them out at lunch, honest!" as the police hauled them away.

Isn't that a bit of an extreme tactic?

That depends if the person in question finds giant mutant man-eating ants attractive or not.

I'd say the odds are heavily in your favour. Not sure I'd take Squinky's rollercoaster ride suggestion though.

It can't speak. It's just a ball.

Why? We were just discussing how one can communicate with large, round, voluptuous objects.
