Ask that it be closed, I'm sure someone will oblige.

Will that really solve anything, though?

Well in the grand scheme of things, no, it won't stop people from having their controversial opinions, but on a small scale, you won't have to watch them bickering over whatever they believe in.
It's my "just sweep it under the rug" theory.

It's not the "controversial" opinions I care about, so much as the way certain folks dismiss other people's opinions as though they were common and therefore had no right to be versed. I mean, come on, if someone actually took the time to post an opinion in that thread, doesn't it imply that they, themselves, have been made to feel maligned by someone at some point in their lives for having such an opinion? Isn't that all that matters?

< listens very carefully to Karmillo's Opinnion, nodding and making encouraging "uh-huh" noises the whole time.
Trumgottist is turning into a text parser. I'm undecided if this is an improvement on the "Quite/Whatever" phase.

I have good and bad news!
I got an email back from the manufacturers of my computer... and it was repaired several days ago (apparently)! That's the good news. And here's the bad: They sent it back to college, rather than to my home. Gah. I'm not quite sure how many more times I could have given them the correct address. So now I have to get them to collect the thing from college and deliver it to the right address. Or pay to get it back before October. |

In the circumstances I'd make my own arrangements to get it back if I were you. At least you have the computer (in a way) at the moment. You might never see it again if they get their useless hands on it once more.
