Oh, stop it, or I'll call you "Bob". Or maybe you meant that you wanted to be called "ERT"? No seriously, full names often sound so impersonal. Robert is a very pretty name, but sometimes I want to use something else. What about "Robsie"? Or "Tibsie" or "Tibs"? -

Well... okay... I could.
But it wouldn't be fair. So I won't. |

Who says you have to be fair? Do what ever is right for you. If others don't like it, too bad.
E.g. My aunt's name is Kathleen and there are very, very few people who are allowed to use a nickname with her (the exception being her husband who can call her Katie). She set her boundaries that worked for her and it works. |

Well, being fair is right for me.
Anyway, I like being called "Robert". |

This isn't no "hot" topic; this thread has a posting rate that would melt Krupp steel.

Crimebusters News Update
An ERT has been stolen from the end of a local forumites name. If you should see someone walking around suspiciously with an ERT or you are offered a second-hand ERT by a man in a pub please notify the authorities immediately. They sound very fattening. Tibblecakes. Now with Double Cream. Aaaaaah. The zombies are coming.
